The rains continue to fall. It rained on St Swithin's Day and so we expect another 40 days of it. As each drop of rain falls, I feel my fear and worries rise. I am once again picking our son up from the floor following a seizure induced fall. His new specialist epilepsy neurologist is seeing us soon and I am documenting his current condition in his ‘seizure diary’. It does not make good reading.

I fear how I will convey this crucial information. I can talk about epilepsy and autism as well as his other conditions fluently and with confidence. But this meeting will be about our son. When I talk about the pain and torment our son lives through each day, I am always overcome with emotion.

The diary will help, and it will contain thoughts and questions that I will refer to if I need prompts. I am not expecting anything in particular, we have been trying different things over many years now. But his condition is getting worse. In front of our very eyes, we see the changes.

My fears are as plentiful as the endless raindrops falling outside. I just hope this new neurologist listens to my story and commits to continuing to support us through whatever the future holds …

Having spent several hours hoping to see a Brown Hairstreak in an area more local to me without luck it was back to West Sussex where this species is seen more regularly.

As I drove into the small car-park I saw a butterfly flying low down and I was hopeful that I found my quarry straight away. I turned off the engine and went for a closer look, and there she was!!

For the next 40 minutes or so she stayed in roughly the same area occasionally walking into the small Blackthorn bushes looking for egg laying places, but mostly she just rested on Bramble leaves.

Following this encounter a walk in the area produced just one other Brown Hairstreak, a rather old and tired male high up.

Following heavy rain a group of Common Bonnet mushrooms (Mycena galericulata) bloom on the forest floor.

The way ahead, following your intuition.

The tricky part is that intuition can be confused with your own Ego.

Your Ego overrules your intuition and says to you, in your thoughts, that you must do the fun stuff you want to do. The "fun" stuff can be bullying others, eat too much, not study when you know you have to, crossing all kind of lines etc.

You'll find all kinds of excuses to do what you want to do, but there might be a lower voice which says Stop, and that is your intuition.

Try to find it, start listening to it. It has many interesting ideas and I for one think our lives can walk on quite different paths than we had imagined if we bring forward our intuition.

If you want something changed in you, like the view you have upon yourself or getting a higher self esteem, losing weight etc, you should start talking to your unconscious mind.

How to do that is pretty simple and awkward or strange, at the same time.

You shall repeat small nice sentences many times a day, talk to yourself repeatedly by using positive words. Your unconscious mind will surrender and start think so too, if you only repeat the positive loaded words.

Why not try it.

We all know how good we are to look in the mirror and say Sh.. how awful I look today. Turn your attitude and say Wow I look fabulous today.

It sure has a nice ring to it, hasn't it, and it works too.

Gee, it became a long blah blah this time♥

A country lane, little more than a trail, extends between the beautiful hills of the Tuscan countryside ...

during the last game drive in Lemek Conservancy we saw the third male of the coalition for the first time and he was now also following the mating couple, just like the second one.

The mating pair is shown in the first comment box.

This was in the morning and obviously this third male had been in a fight shortly before

He kept following me around while I was looking for Big Foot in the swamp, saying take my picture, take my picture, so of course I did. They're so cute anyway. I'm sure he was wondering if I wasn't Big Foot and he wanted to remember what I looked like so he could tell his friends about me later.

------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS ALONE!

❤️❤️ IT'S ALL JESUS AND NONE OF OURSELVES! ❤️❤️

7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH! Because JESUS LOVES YOU! ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Following on from my Star Wars Day picture yesterday, today we have the Revenge of the 5th!

Come to the Dark Side! We have ... me.

The RCPE west of Wall crosses and then follows the Cheyenne River through the small town of Wasta, South Dakota before departing the Cheyenne to follow Boxelder Creek west to Rapid City. That stretch of railroad is very scenic and with slow trains many opportunities are available for pretty pictures. Here's one of those a couple miles north of Wasta with the Cheyenne on the right and the bridge in the background. 6/26/2023

Thank you for your comments & fav.!

One week old and its a canter for the little one against Mum’s walk!

Following yesterday's picture, someone challenged me to do something similar but with the wings coming out of the frame too. Not easy because they are translucent, but it is possible if you have the right sort of picture to start with ie without too busy a backdrop.

Following on from Exhibit 5, about 12 shots back, this exhibit is the second final one in the series. If you want more information about the series please see the last 5 shots, where info has been well presented in each one.

While checking on the Swans at Heathdale - Glen Orden Wetlands this morning I spotted a Coot with two juveniles.

As a follow up to to last week, all four of the surviving Swans were in sight.

What is a Drum horse? Read the following if interested

The American Drum Horse is a modern American breed of heavy horse of draft type. It is based on, and named for, the drum horse of the Life Guards of the British Royal Household Cavalry, which carries the kettle-drummer and large silver kettle-drums, and is usually a Clydesdale or Shire, and often either piebald or skewbald.[1]:43 Other regiments have drum-horses of other colors and breeds.

The American Drum Horse may be of any color, with a preference for pinto patterns.[2]:434 It is usually derives mainly from cross-breeding of Clydesdale, Gypsy Cob and Shire stock.[2]:434 It may be registered with the International Drum Horse Association or the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association.[3][4]
