MERRY CHRISTMAS ! The Wright-Locke chickens know the routine; they follow me to the feed bin, and I toss down some cracked corn to get them to leave me alone as I go about my duties. I gathered their eggs, filled the water bowls, and checked on their food.
It took a while....a looong while but finally we´re here xD

Happy Thanksgiving to my US followers!
This is a scene from the E Sierra in October, 2022, where clouds, light, and peak condition aspen came together to make a "bonfire" of color.

Thanks to the postings of Andrew Cookston, I was prompted to get back into Adventure Time after years of halfheartedly avoiding it, and needless to say, it's a great show. Thus I had to go seek out the dimensions packs (I don't play dimensions). Then Early in the morning I decided Finn and Jake and Marceline needed more friends. I was just gonna post these as-is, but now it's special. So, here we go:
Ice King: Modified classic castle crown, Gandalf the white hair/beard, Electro head, penguin minions.
Marceline The Vampire Queen,
Finn and Jake, naturally.
Princess Bubblegum: Starfire hair with tiny gold crown glued on, standard skin-tone smiley, Luna Lovegood torso, Pink Batgirl skirt, CMF Pop Star legs.
LSP is LSP.
Flame Princess: Standard 1x1 on Syndrome hair, standard smiley, Chima torso, CMF Dark Sorcerer robe.
Earl of Lemongrab: Not 100% sold on the heads for these guys but, it works for now. CMF Plant guy head, Gandalf torso, Batman legs.

Black Vulture, Coragyps atratus, with cypress knees in the background. These are very common here—cleaning up last night’s roadkill in the neighborhood; following the larger Turkey Vultures, which have a better sense of smell, in a wide range across the prairie. Often see groups of 2 or 3, but a dozen or two gathered that morning on the small island just across the water to my left.

The Moon, Jupiter and Aldebaran. Aldebaran is the faint dot to the right of Jupiter. You may have to zoom in to see it. It's the brightest star in the constellation Tarus. The name Aldebaran comes from the Arabic word al-dabarān, which means "the Follower". It is a binary star made up of a red giant and a red dwarf. Taken with a Canon FD 24mm f2.8 at f4 adapted to my Sony A7RIII.

Long time followers will know that I always try and get a live sporting contest into our holiday if possible. Luckily for us on the last night in Tokyo we were able to catch the Tokyo Swallows play the Yokohama Baystars, something of a local derby.
It was a pretty tight contest, settled by a monstrous home run in the 8th innings. The Swallows ran out 4-3 winners on this occasion but the Baystars won the other two matches in the three match series.
In the background you can see the Olympic stadium, used for the Covid affected 2020 Games, which were held in Tokyo.
