Seen on another return visit to the Japanese Garden at Mt. Coot-tha. Just a small part of this beautiful place.

Heavy fog with sub-zero temperatures makes for some very pretty hoarfrost. The morning sun had melted much of it away except for a few shady bits.

Not quite sure what these are, but they may be young Clivia plants.

Where ever you are.

I don't know why but I toned this down a little. It appeals to me more in russet and brown than it did in flaming vermilion.

Ellenwood Lake from under a red maple.

Currently in Explore; Thank you for all your views, invites, and kind comments.

I am leaving this weekend to drive to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a week of shooting/ It is always a crap shoot in terms of color. I am usually early or late. No matter what, I actually think it is superior to New England where I grew up. I always have to remind myself to bracket the images and use a polarizer since the colors are so vivid.

Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York

I took this by the Riverwalk yesterday, it was beautiful by the water, I tried to frame this one to get all the different color and the river too.

So unusual to have this amount of red in an aspen tree

I believe this is the red maple tree

Gli alberi e gli arbusti del Green Golf Club si colorano d'autunno. Fra un colpo e l'altro mi è venuto di scattare qualche foto, purtroppo con l'unico strumento a mia disposizione in quel momento, il cellulare.

Beautiful peak foliage in Stowe, Vermont.

The Tahquamenon Falls State Park is a 46,179-acre state park in Upper Michigan. The water is brown in color from the tannins leached from the cedar, spruce, and hemlock in the swamps drained by the river.

This past weekend was glorious for Aspen viewing!
