A bull elk looks back at me across Mission Creek in the National Bison Range, Montana. Rather than crop him and bring him in closer I decided to show him surrounded by early fall foliage.
A cropped view in comments.
Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated!
Have a wonderful week!

I've got that right, don't I?
A few have mentioned they never tire of fall foliage shots and I reckon we'll continue to test that theory for a while. The winds over the last few days have done their annual duty, yet the oaks endure as they tend to do, the last to give up the ghost...tho some only do so with the arrival of new buds in the spring, somehow hanging on throughout our trying winter.
Another very nice day for late October, so off we go to the canoe to enjoy a relatively rare windless day.
Worlitz Gardens are located near Worlitz in the Saxony region of East Germany. Fall colors were glorious on this gondola ride.

I love the way this Maple tree changes its color in Autumn,
During the year is light green.
Taken from 50 feet away outside the pond area from the kitchen window at noon. behind that is a regular maple.
Few things get my photo mojo kicked into high gear more than the autumn season here in Ontario: a pearl-grey morning sky, the smell of rain in the air, and leaves turning from green to crimson and orange to gold. Took another walk around my local park late this afternoon. Many of the leaves are down now but there is still plenty of colour. I think this has to be one of my favourite spots in the park. I have shot it a lot! You will see it again for sure. View larger on Black.
I wish the Fall foliage could last all year round!
Here's a thought to my non NS contacts...Consider visiting Nova Scotia at this time of year! You could fly in to Toronto, hire a car and drive down here taking in the beautiful 1000 Islands on route. There would be plenty of colour as your drive through Quebec and NB before arriving in NS.

This is one of the shots which I took at the end of October in the morning fog at a local lake. Usually I don't like fog but this was a fog which you knew would disappear an hour or two later and give way to a lovely sunny day. I would prefer it anytime to the rainy and windy weather we are having now.
