The petals of this beautiful tulip were huddled together here, the day before they opened up into bloom.
Duly photographed, it is now folded up to protect the raw edges. It awaits Suzan's choice of backing fabric, and then it's off to the quilter's.

Our Folding Meditation Bench is stable while in use, yet conveniently folds so you can easily take it with you to your group meditation or meditation retreat, making it our most popular bench. With folded legs, it easily slips into a backpack, suitcase or one of our beautiful bench bags. Heavy duty hinges connect the Alder hardwood legs to the Birch plywood top. The Folding Bench has a layer of foam and a layer of cotton batting, and is upholstered with your choice of cotton canvas or raw silk. For more info. visit www.meditationbench.com/meditationbenches/

FOLDS AND RINGS…
#AbFav_HAPPY_😍
We often sailed on this tall ship, a modernised three-master CLIPPER called the Nausikaa, she had so many lovely features.
The skipper was not always happy with the way his crew folded sails or rolled the ropes, but they were mostly very eager volunteers.
I found it a real treasure trove, here's one of my favourites, I especially love the light-play.

THE DECEMBERISTS - "Culling Of The Fold"
Cut him up, boy
You've got to cut him up, boy.
He's a wicked disgrace,
And he said it to your face
You better cut him up boy.
Take by the teeth,
Get him down on his knees,
With your hands all shaking,
That'll teach him how to take it,
Gotta cut him up, boy.
(And how...)
Ply her heart with gold and silver.
Take your sweetheart down to the river.
Dash her on the paving stones,
It may break your heart to break her bones,
But someone's got to do the culling...
Of the fold.
(Oh, oh oh.)
Cut him up, girl.
Really cut him up girl
He lives by himself,
In a hole in a wall
You've got to cut him up, girl.
You can take him in a stitch,
Dump his body in a ditch
Leave his limbs all naked,
That'll teach him how to take it,
Better cut him up girl.
(And how...)
Ply her heart with gold and silver.
Take your sweetheart down to the river.
Dash her on the paving stones,
It may break your heart to break her bones,
But someone's got to do the culling...
Of the fold.
(Oh..)
Listen up boy,
And listen up girl.
It's a shallow little trench,
And it's giving off a stench.
It's a shallow little world.
Feeling down in the face,
Could you use a little space?
When the radio crackles,
And the in-laws cackle.
Better cut him up boy,
And cut him up, girl.
Ply her heart with gold and silver.
Take your sweetheart down to the river.
Dash her on the paving stones,
It may break your heart to break her bones,
But someone's got to do the culling...
Of the fold.
Oh, the culling...
Of the fold.
(Oh, oh, oh, oh!)
The beautiful folded hills of Marlborough present the photographer with some amazing light effects especially in high summer when the light is low (sunset or sunrise). The dry, sunburned slopes of golden brown grasses reflect the light becoming a burnished wheaten gold. The deep folded valleys contrast with the sunlit tops to give a dramatic effect. In this shot you can see the starkly contrasting green of the irrigated vineyards where New Zealand's world famous sauvignon grapes are grown to produce wines acknowledged as the best of their type in the world.
