This is a fairly long table with metal legs and a plastic top and is pretty sturdy. I have 4 folding chairs (black metal) to go with it.

Attempt 2: Close, but not quite!
Every year in December I make german paper folded stars. My grandma made them when she was young growing up in Germany. 8 or 9 years ago, with her help and the help of an online tutorial, I learned how to make them. I try to make them every year so that I won't forget.
This year I decided I'd like to shake it up a little and try making them with fabric instead of paper! I am trying out a few different ideas to see what I like best!
For this one I used lightweight interfacing, folded over each strip and zig-zag stitched the edges. Next I'm going to try heat-n-bond which I think will work much better!

Can timber compete with concrete to create large single-volume enclosures?
The Timber Stadium project takes the stiffness created by folding paper to a 100m-span planar folded timber structure. Criteria included daylight control and a six-month erection period. To provide internal sightlines and
a spectacular external overhang, a computer script was written to determine panel sizes and flatpacked folding geometry.
An experiment in using the technique of Japanese folded patchwork. Each unit is held together with the minimumof stitching along with the addition of a few beads. This will eventually become a hanging when it has grown up.
I went out yesterday and noticed something different at the Manor. I couldn't see clearly in the shadows, so I went to investigate. One of the big old Norway spruces had literally folded over.
I guess it was sick anyway. Apparently it fell Monday night, when we had heavy rain and perhaps wind. There were excited wrens flying all around it and checking it out. I think many insects had been released and there was a feeding frenzy.

Pages from a folded and stapled 20-page A5 booklet giving the order of service for the 150th Anniversary Celebration Service for St. John the Evangelist Church in Ingrow. The service was held on Trinity Sunday, 6th June 1993. The preacher for the service was the Right Reverend David Smith, Bishop of Bradford. The vicar of St. John's at the time was the Reverend David Robinson, and the churchwardens were Joan Proctor and Watson Barnes.
Item loaned by Joan Greenwood to St. John's History & Heritage Group in April 2022, and shared with Keighley and District Local History Society.
