Probably Bugula neritina. The Eelgrass, Zostera marina, was quite old, ~7mm across. Bryozoan extended 30 mm from eelgrass.

Bryozoans are miniature animals that nearly all live colonially, so the tiny organisms share this structure somewhat like a group of corals do. This one is a common fouling organism on boat hulls and harbor installations. (Intertidal Invertebrates of California, Morris et. al.) I had originally thought this was an epiphytic (one that grows on another) seaweed, but was straightened out by my friend who wants to remain anonymous.

This small Xysticus sp. crab spider was so carefully guarding the nest that even my very close presence didn't frighten it. I wish I would've tried a better composition for those 2 stacks but it wasn't possible due to small breeze and because I didn't want to disturb too much this fearful mother.

Macro stack with Helicon Focus.
Testing macro stacking with Christmas flowers. This one is with 50 photos using automatic camera focus bracketing and Helicon Focus for stacking.
I had a Olympus EM-1 Mark II for awhile and its in-camera stacking feature was awesome. However, the photos looked very bland compared to A7RV photos. So much tonality missing, couldn't keep the Olympus just for the convenient macro feature. So now I'm experimenting macro stacking with my Sony and some extra PC software.
Focus bracketing works very well here, added a 2sec wait between the shots to guarantee that the lens can keep up to pace. Started the bracketing and went to read book. When camera was ready, copied the raw files to LRC, did minor edits, synced these to all pics, exported to JPG and applied Helicon Focus on the files. Quite impressive results with minimal effort!
Sony's focus bracketing feature is very useful after all. I'll be experimenting more with this!
