This morning's sunrise taken on the beach of Mil Palmeras in the region of Alicante in Spain. Avertical soft focus image taken using a 50mm 1.4 lens.
I just bought my Sigma 18-250 f/3.5-6.3 OS last week... I heard and found in some lenses reviews that most Sigma lenses problem is the back and front focusing... I guess i got lucky and have the perfect one here...

In the wild kingdom the very lives of the inhabitants relies on their ability to focus when stalking their prey. This Green Heron is dialed in as he spots an aquatic meal near the surface of the water in a wetland pond.

WHAT IS FOCUS STACKING ? ( WITH BLACK ANT ) ?
Focus stacking combines multiple images focused on a different spot to make a resulting image with a greater depth of field than any of the individual source images.
It’s a technique designed to overcome the limits of depth of field, in other words, when the camera’s setup can’t handle its depth of field capabilities.

In popular belief, it is a lucky charm, the fly agaric and I also felt lucky when I discovered this beautiful duo on the forest floor. And then there was the "lucky clover", which had settled between the mushroom fruiting bodies. The image was created using stacking technique. I left the back mushroom a bit in focus to give the shot depth.
Practising my macro on a few flowers. Added a few water droplets. 7 images stacked in Helicon Focus.
The world beneath our feet holds boundless secrets, and macro photography is the key to unlocking them. This intimate photographic style shrinks the viewer down to the scale of the subject, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Here, a cluster of delicate, golden-capped toadstools emerges from a tapestry of vibrant green moss. The slight frost or dusting on the caps, coupled with the soft, diffused light, highlights the texture and subtle curves of each fungus. The shallow depth of field is essential in macro work, blurring the busy background into a painterly wash of browns and oranges, compelling the eye to focus solely on the fragile life at the center. It's a testament to the fact that the most compelling and detailed subjects often require us to pause, kneel down, and look closely at the miniature landscapes that thrive just out of our everyday focus. Macro photography challenges us to see the world not as it appears from a distance, but as a rich, detailed ecosystem demanding our attention and admiration.

“Focused Intensity”. It’s hard to imagine a situation more intense than a predator stalking prey. This is a shot of an Osprey I took at California’s San Elijo Lagoon. The raptor was hovering 60 feet above an inlet preparing for a strike. I loved the intense stare and the outstretched leg and talons. I used a black and white presentation so as not to distract the viewer from the nuances of the head, wing and leg positions with colors.
