The focus for everyone is different, for everything, each object has brought not think different response. Just go to the heart to put away the focus, things will be perfect together!
Peeling an onion.
Still trying to teach myself the focus-stacking technique for macro photos. All of these were shot with a Canon 40D, EF 180mm Macro 1:35L USM lens, with the EF 2x II extender, for an effective focal length of 360mm, at about 1.5 ft. distance.
What I'm finding is that the focal plane is so thin with these extreme macro images, that Photoshop has a hard time of properly aligning the images and creating the layer masks.
This one was 4 exposures. Not even close to enough.
This is a focus stacked macro image. I took 3 pictures at different depths of field and combined them together to produce this image.
This was my first Christmas gift this year! From one of the coolest people on the planet. Thank you again, it means a lot.
Merry Christmas Eve everybody!
I saw something like this in one of the groups here and thought I'd play around with lighting a little. This one the light is more intensely focused and directed across the rose.
