The unkind driver deliberately pulled the blind down and covered up her face
I had made a living as a motion graphic artist, but changed careers a couple of years ago and hadn't touched a timeline since.
Now, because I'm doing the self employment thing full time now, I decided to open up my marketability and dust off AE and see if I still knew how to do it.
I have not done any serious night photography in some time. So I figured I was long overdue to go out and have a photo night. So, about 9 o’clock Tuesday night, I packed up my gear and my dog in the car and set out into the night. It was a cold, clear night with temps hovering right around the 28 degree mark. Having never been there at night before, I set out for Rochelle.
I pulled into the railroad park parking lot just after 945pm, and no sooner did I hop out of the car, and I heard a horn and saw a light coming around the bend. He wasn’t going very fast… maybe 15 or 20 MPH. Imagine my surprise when I saw the number 8701 illuminated on the sides of the on-point locomotive. FML…. I have never seen these guys before in my life, and then the first time I do see them, it’s at night. Oh well…
Here, we have the only 2 surviving unpatched CNW locomotives #8701 and #8646 leading a coal train eastbound towards DeKalb.
