Lydstep, Pembrokeshire

We were all looking forward to a lovely warm summer way back in early May...... but now all we have is rain and more rain!

The common name of the beach dates back to the late 1800s and it seems Mother Ivy was a local wise-woman and white witch. The Cornish name for the cove is Polventon (Poll Fenton) which means pool of a spring.

Quinag is a magnificent and complex mountain with three summits attaining Corbett status. The ascent of all three is one of the finest hillwalks in Scotland, with fine peaks, dramatic ridges and stunning views.

Brisbane Glen is a stunningly beautiful location hidden away in the hills of North Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland. This evening the reflections were particularly beautiful. This photo has only had some spots removed from my dirty sensor.

Clachtoll Beach is a popular beach with some rugged terrain, including the Split Rocks in the Highlands of Scotland.

With white sands and idyllic turquoise water, Clachtoll Beach is an unspoilt paradise in the Highlands. From the headlands at either end of the beach there are stunning mountain views for miles around.

Last Sunday, we had another fabulous day out on the moors - this time choosing a circular route starting from Fernworthy forest to visit not one, not two but three stone circles, one of which is even a double stone circle! I took this photo after we spent some time at the ruined Teignhead farm (picture to follow). I love the open landscape in that area and the weather helped to make it a brilliant day out!

I made a video of the entire walk: youtu.be/UsHrlc5r8k4

A walk along Englands Coastal Path this morning. I intended walking to Rottingdean but I decided I’d have to swim back so turned round and went home.

Sango bay, Durness, Sutherland, Highland, Scotland, UK

Today I did a rather silly thing but if I had not done that silly thing I would not have got this shot. This one was made in the Glencoe Valley in the West Highlands of Scotland. Snow on the mountains, blue sky with fluffy clouds and a hint of the beginning of sunset and if you look carefully to the slope coming down from the left you can actually see the snow being blown off the mountain. What more can a shot of a valley need?

Llyn Nantlle Uchaf looking to Yr Wyddfa, Gwynedd

How privileged I felt to be welcomed back to my favourite beach. She knew... oh she knew alright how much I loved seeing her again.. I do believe she loved seeing me too and this was her welcome to me and yes I am only a visitor but I love her so much and I miss her......

My grandad was a fireman on the trains and him and grandma spent much of their time in St Ives, maybe that how come I feel a spiritual relationship with this place...you never know ;)

“Far up in the deep blue sky, Great white clouds are floating by; All the world is dressed in fall autumnal colors; Many happy birds are seen here and there, Roses bright and sunshine clear Show that lovely October is too here."

Wonderful Cirrus clouds

Storms have been rolling in and out everywhere but it seems before they do, clouds develop taking on unique shapes and often times let go with a thunderstorm or down pouring rain. Though they may look white and fluffy, the rain hides within these clouds.
