I coloured the dishes underwater green (instead of white) to make them blend more with the surroundings. :)

For the last few days I've been having a touch of flu and staying home. That's why you've seen Benni, roses and now this succulent being hit by the first morning sun. Flickr addicts take what they can get!
I borrowed this from my husband's collection of antique medicine bottles. I found an article in the St. John Daily Sun dated Jan. 25, 1905 recommending this product (see comments).

Pigs Might Fly Flu is a highly contagious mixture of bird and swine flu and only effects Lego men. If a Lego man is infected he has to be quarantined immediately. The symptoms are growing a snout, sprouting wings and a fondness of truffles and rolling in the mud.
Since the first media reports of this flu the Lego men have started a strict regime of washing themselves in liquid soap, hopefully this will stop the spread of the flu.
Can you tell that I'm running out of ideas for my 365 project?
... for his Flickr friends. He is still sick but it's not too bad at the moment although he doesn't feel like playing my photo model. I could only take a quick snapshot when he was distracted. As soon as he notices the camera he either turns away or closes his eyes or looks awfully grumpy. It seems that we have managed to get rid of his parasites but right now the cat flu strikes again. That was to be expected because of the cold weather and because he always reacts with a flu episode when he has to take antiparasitika. As the cold season has only just started we will face several more episodes like this one in the next months and more serious ones too.

So here I am laying on the sofa, chock-a-blocked with snot and coughing my guts up, I have the flu or something akin. Oh well, will be getting out of taking the Christmas decorations down then! Seriously, feel like poo and I was contemplating doing the 2025-265, then I thought nah, why would I want to put myself under this kind of pressure when my New Years resolution was to keep things simple and relaxed!

In 1918 the Spanish flu pandemic took 50-100million lives worldwide. My grandmother was a victim and died at the age of 26 leaving behind my 4 year old mother.
A return 4 day trip to RSPB Bempton on the 5th June with 3 Photo buddies. The weather was very cold for June, very unexpected.
Day 3
Onshore wind, Brighter, but still bitterly cold in the wind.
The Northern Gannet on the left shows the distinctive Black Eye that occurs on Gannets that have caught Avian Bird Flu but have survived. The Gannet on the right has the normal Eye.
It is not known if the Black Eye will return to normal over time.
Avian Flu, or Bird Flu, affects poultry and wild birds.
The current outbreak is of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), which can cause severe disease and high mortality. This current strain has been devastating our wild bird populations in the UK since November 2021. It originated in poultry operations in China in 1996.
The most recent series of Bird Flu outbreaks ( 2022-2023 ) is unprecedented – the largest ever in the UK and worldwide – and has killed tens of thousands of birds in the UK alone.

The service book contains the first main dealer service in 1991 then 11 hand written entries from 2002 until 2015 detailing service and maintenance work. A quantity of further maintenance records and parts invoices show just how well this Suzuki has been looked after. Sold for £9288 including premium (estimate: £8000 to £10,000).
This beautiful Gannet floats eyes closed unaware of its surroundings. It is probably hours from death having contracted avian flu. If this bird were in full health you wouldn't be able to get within 20 meters of her before she flew away. Avian Flu is running riot in the South West and I am seeing increasing numbers of poorly , dying birds on a daily basis.

I've got a case of the man-flu, so rather than drag myself out with the camera on a cold Sunday I thought I'd go back through the 2014 archives to see what was missed. This is one from back in March.
