A fully marked 461st FLTS "Deadly Jesters" F-35B Lightning II on a go around at Edwards after a morning test flight over the Mojave Desert. 168314 C/N BF-18 made its maiden flight at Fort Worth TX in August 2012, soon after it was delivered to Pax River in November of the same year and it has recently joined the 461st FLTS at Edwards AFB for further testing.

A nicely preserved piece, in typical 90s condition. I suspect this one has remained in the same hands for a while, as it appears to be a regular at Bromley, and may even be everyday transport, considering how well travelled it appears to be.

Giving off a touch of the Optimus Prime vibes with this brand new Matchbox 1979 Freightliner FLT American truck. Debuting in the premium Collectors series though i'm sure will filter down to other ranges too, it automatically benefits from a much higher level of detailing and chrome content.
Obviously there is also a high plastic content though the casting itself still appears weighty and substantial.
Mint and boxed.

The Jon Egging Memorial, Bournemouth.
This cliff-top Memorial in Bournemouth serves as a permanent, dedicated location for local residents and visitors to pay their respects to Flt Lt Egging, who tragically died when his Red Arrows Hawk jet crashed in the fields by the River Stour near Hurn Airport, after displaying at the Bournemouth Air Festival on 20 August 2011.
The memorial sculpture stands five metres high and is made up of three stainless steel contrails covered in red, white and blue glass discs with three glass Red Arrow jets soaring into the sky. The sculpture is accompanied by a memorial plaque which reads: "Always follow your dreams. Blue skies"

BR Type 4 Class 46 46023 was recorded passing Dudley Freightliner Terminal with an unidentified freight, but details of the working are provided in the comments, below.
D160 (46023) was a product of Derby Works and entered service in March 1962. It was withdrawn in October 1984.
Opened in November 1967 on the site of the former Castle goods depot this was the first such terminal to be opended in the West Midlands (or Greater Birmingham). It proved to be a considerable success and such was the growth of container traffic, a second terminal was opened at Lawley Street, Birmingham in November 1969. The industrial decline of the 1980s saw the Dudley Terminal close in September 1986.

Remarks/comments: Finally a product made and sold in Canada! And with livery of a company that used to very local to me. Couldn't be any more Canadian than that! This is actually the second one of these I've bought now. I purchased the first one back in 2009 from eBay. I don't know when this was released but sometime before that.(Have a read here about BC Rail. The company has a rich history from 1912 until the buyout in 2004 by CN Rail. The line traversed the most treacherous but beautiful landscape west of the Rockies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BC_Rail)
The Herpa name is originally a German brand if you didn't already know. The Herpa name is licensed-used on the package. (History of the Promotex name: www.promotex.ca/info/about_promotex_inc.html)
You don't have to click them links. It's just a good read during this down time we've been having. (-:
Anyway, more about the truck. There's very little metal on the truck. In fact, I believe the only bit of metal on this are the axles holding the wheels to the truck. Since it is all plastic, it is very delicate. The first one I bought, I managed to break the very brittle hinge in which the cab tilts on the chassis. Being based on a railroad that served only in one province, I'm sure this had a limited run (and fan base) so these are very hard to find. Though the casting itself is easy to find with other liveries. With the delicateness mentioned, this stays in the box for protection. While the first one sits on a shelf because it's box is packed away.
