Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
- Robert Frost

Sunset along southwestern Oregon's coast, along the Oregon Coast Highway, with fellow photographer, Dustin LeFevre. Light had been dull and uninteresting most of the day, then suddenly at day's end the clouds on the horizon broke up, permitting the sun to peak through. A gentle mist flowed all around, and as the sun set, colors changed dramatically from a vibrant orange, to more pink and purple. What a fantastic moment to be a photographer!

100 liter rain per square meter in the last 2 days here in our region and still raining.
I want to improve my skills and hence I tried something different that these standard waterscapes today.
So I went to the local forest and searched for some creeks. In summer all creeks here are empty but with this intense rain they could be interesting, I thought.
This small creek was quite hard to reach, since with the soaked ground it was almost impossible to walk in the steep terrain. But god save good hiking boots :)

Wen't straight from work today with my colleague Kev who has recently taken up photography. You can see his stuff here.
Wasn't the most succesful of shoots, still it is nice to be out, just started running again yesterday, went for some walks at the weekend, looking to get back into the swing of things soon.
