Hours of work but so worth it! My embroidery floss is so pretty and organized now (I have stickers of the DMC numbers on the back of each bobbin).
The stubbies were Olympia (empty); the cigs menthol (I didn't inhale!); and the poodle was named Twiggy. It was deep in the 70s and I was 11 (my brother was 14ish). I continue to read Mental Floss because it embodies all things good.

I was on my way home, when I noticed the puffy clouds above. I contemplated between going home to rest, or stopping halfway and rushing to a random location for sunset.
Decision made, a quick u-turn and fast march to this location. The lack of tripod denied me the opportunity to do some long exposures, but I see no wrong is shooting handheld too.
Shot with Samyang 7.5mm F3.5 Fisheye, which I'm loving it for the compactness and price point. No doubt, the Olympus 8mm F1.8 PRO will potentially blow this Samyang away, but until then, I'm satisfied with this.

The gardening girls are out and about at Turton Tower to inspect the gardens and see if they have some ideas they can take home to improve the display.
The kitchen garden at Turton has a good selection of plants for sale. So there was a careful selection made and the prized pot plant taken home. Given the warm weather it seemed a good idea and the plans are to nurture it. As the weather is supposed to return to being bitterly cold plans are afoot to protect it from the latest ravages of the cold weather.

This man, who makes and sells some candy floss, has retained my look. I saw some kindness and wisdom on his face and I'm happy to have made this picture.. Taken in Capoliveri on the island of Elba (Tuscany, Italy).
I have four boxes like this, a large jar, and a ziploc bag of embroidery floss I can't seem to part with. ODC theme: I Used To - cross stitch.

My second attempt at a functional box. Dragons are known for their excellent dentition, right? So, what better place to store your floss.
This design uses the third technic hinge pattern. To keep the lid thin I used the SNOT technique of joining Technic plates (black) with a short Technic axle (red). It's sturdy but as you can see it doesn't lock completely tight.
The floss is Oral-B, with its lid torn off. If you use a bigger floss box of course you need a bigger dragon :)
