Here is the next one of the sand sculptures at the park. This one shows the flora and fauna on the meadow. It's a sculpture which is perfect for this year's theme which is "Biodiversity".

I neglected this geranium by not watering, and lost most of the first flush of flowers. However,it is doing really well now, and is flowering beautifully

Beeld dat ooit met de familie Kröller mee verhuisde naar de Veluwe. Het stelt Flora voor, zij was een Romeinse godin van de lente en de bloemen, een mollige dame in... laten we zeggen luchtige kledij, samen met een putti en een aapje. De maker van dit beeld is niemand minder dan de Vlaamse beeldhouwer Rombout Verhulst. Deze barok beeldhouwer leefde van 1624 tot 1698.

Statue that once moved with the Kröller family to the Veluwe. It represents Flora, she was a Roman goddess of spring and flowers, a plump lady in... let's say airy clothing, together with a putti and a monkey. The maker of this statue is none other than the Flemish sculptor Rombout Verhulst. This baroque sculptor lived from 1624 to 1698.
