Floorplan of the Futuro house, from an ad hanging in the Blue Plate Diner in Lewes, DE (down the road from the actual Futuro in Milton).
A craftsman house built of cement or concrete after the California mission style, with low-pitched tiled roof, round arches and straight massive walls.
This is about how my apartment is set up (a few little places are off like the closets but you get the idea).
The bedroom does NOT look like this at all right now but its how I eventually want it to look :) I'm getting there... still trying to find that perfect rug and I need a bureau delivered somehow.
The "study" we created is awesome so far. The orange chair on the floorplan is supposed to be the blue one we just bought on ebay. I'm not sure if its going to be too crowded but the thought was that someone could hang out/read in that area while the other person is working at the desk. We'll see!
The to-do list was a little crazy, so I put this together.
Need more seating, a better media setup, a guest room, and less junk.

Sue and Heather (wife and SIL) study the floorplan at the National Gallery to try to find their way to the Rideau Chapel to listen to the motet.
There were two other people in the photo, but when they moved I snapped another photo and then used a layer mask in Photoshop to paint in the vacated spaces.
The photo below is the original, uncropped version of the same photo. I like both versions for different reasons.
Here is some information of the motet when it was at the Met.

Recessed veranda at the back of the house, which may be used as a dining porch in summer and glassed in for a conservatory or sun room in winter.
This is a modified and edited floorplan of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. I will be using this cathedral design as the basic floorplan for my cathedral, and use Chartres cathedral as the inspiration for many of the actual design elements included.

Cloaked Communications interrogates how agency can be accumulated in the oppressive structure of the Amazon warehouse. With notorious workplace ethics, Amazon is a malevolent corporation. To make their rights unalienable and not subject to Amazon’s whims, workers need a union. Convincing Amazon to allow this intervention requires a heavy cloak and outside funding, which a union would willingly provide. By taking advantage of part of Amazon’s robotic system, the project operates with a double agenda:
1. Overtly provide tangible space for workers to rest, receive nourishment and gain general camaraderie.
2. Covertly provide the tools to form a collective voice, a union.
Rebuilding a fraction of the 3’x3’x8’ shelves that the KIVA robots carry, mobile breakstations are formed across the warehouse, alleviating both practical and policy driven detriments to the worker. Simultaneously, these units are part of a clandestine on-site messaging network regarding the creation of a union. Workers call and send these pieces to each corner of the larger grid, and each one is able to operate as a single unit and as a larger collective. An intermediary step, these stations would be a temporary solution to kickstart the next phase in worker representation in the face of automation.
This modern farmhouse captures old time ambiance. A balcony divides the foyer from the two-story great room, while built-ins, columns, French doors, and a fireplace add special touches. A counter separates the kitchen from breakfast nook, and the utility/mud room connects the garage to the house. Spacious porches welcome relaxation.
