Old stock of 9"x9" floor tile on a storage shelf. This is often found in storage areas of buildings where such flooring is still installed, so that damaged tiles can be replaced with matching product material, especially since 9-inch square floor tile are not commonly manufactured anymore.

Day 1 of expanding @goinvo offices upward to the 4th floor and while I was ripping out nasty, old carpet, what did we discover?! Original 1901 hardwood flooring. Jeezus!
That's just dust and sawdust on the floor. Now to see how we can repair and finish it.

A vintage, labeled vinyl asbestos sheet flooring sample, imprinted with manufacturer's information indicating made by Armstrong Cork Company. Additional info indicates the resilient covering sample is "Montina" pattern #86701 with vinyl "Corlon" and a "Hydrocord" backing.
The "Hydrocord" backing layer contains asbestos and is reportedly a composite with latex and other ingredients. The soft, paper-like backing is similar to a compressed felt material, susceptible to damage and can become friable, especially during agressive renovation removal activities.
