i wish i had thought to do this earlier, before the snow started melting. sigh. but hey. proof positive that timing is key. had i been on top of it, i might have (well, maybe) focused it better.

On the top floor, looking down, of the boutique hotel, Ohla, in the centre of Barcelona. A really quirky hotel with a great infinity pool/cocktail bar and Michelin star restaurant called Sauc. Truly a wonderful hotel.

This shot is from last January! Wish my floor looked like this!!
I's the season of colour before the bleakness of November hits us in the face, so I'll just keep going with the colour theme for awhile longer if you don't mind.
This is on a trail at the cottage. Sometimes, the colour is down below.

In the solitude of the Autumn woods, where the trickling of water echoes softly against the blanket of leaves that now litter the forest floor, I take in Fall's beauty with all my senses.
I focus on a single leaf as it shifts and tumbles in the air, making its way to join the many others already fallen, a brief journey here to there.
I am reminded of the brevity of my tiny life, to hang in the breeze of existence for a brief moment more and savor its unpredictable whims.
Ah, such a mosaic we will make, you and I, against the forest floor.
The museum is home to world-famous and unique objects, such as the 29,500-year-old Venus of Willendorf, the Steller’s sea cow that became extinct over 200 years ago, and enormous dinosaur skeletons.
The forest floor on a rainy October day.
I switched a year ago to a calibrated IPS monitor for looking at these.

I was amazed by the color and beauty on the floor of Bryce Canyon, May, 2025. The bits of contrast that one gets from above are right down here. This is a cool part of the Bryce Canyon dazzle.
Last weekend we walked along a stream in a small nature reserve outside the city. Mid March and nature was still holding back. It was probably still too cold. Most of the forest floor was covered in last year's dry leaves, branches and twigs were bare and the air was cold. As we passed by a spruce forest, a delicate green shone on the forest floor beneath the spruces, a wonderfully soft and fluffy carpet of moss. The afternoon sun only lit small patches of the moss and it seemed somehow enchanted, as if only fairies and dwarves were missing and the picture would be perfect :-).
Taken from the 7th floor of IUB university 1 year ago during capturing whole building structure for cctv.
The total building is Architect by a former student of same university, and yet this one is the best building as varsity/house from all building/house i have seen. the whole building is a master Idea, and I learned so many points of future buildings in this Architectural design.
But i cannot share the diagram, its not my right to do so
Croft Castle
These wonderful floor tiles are in the Church Of St. Michael and All Saints at Croft Castle. They date mostly from the 15th century, but some are even older. They were moved to the church from the former Croft Castle when it was demolished in the 17th century. Various designs can be seen (although I haven’t been able to get the entire floor in the photo) these include, abstract patterns, Coats of Arms, including those of England and France, along with leading families of the period. Although they are now all mixed up, originally the groups would have formed geometric patterns.
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
