Picked up the SuperMCToys Women's Street Style Flight Jacket set, since there were a few parts in it that looked really nice and Magic Cube has generally produced really good stuff in the past.
The jacket has a realistic orange lining, but SuperMCToys was smart enough not to line the sleeves. Some 1/6 manufacturers do, and it only makes it hard to get arms through them.

Annual leave day - spent tidying garden (the sun shone!!), plus waiting for house insulation Surveyor.
The DAL kit lens seems quite sharp at F11 & 55mm - what a surprise!
Having finished blasting the patio & terrace clean, just had to pop into town before having a clean up day.
First time out in the urban environment with the new flight jacket.

Age 18 in 1943, Clyde E Lybrook found himself stationed at an Engish RAF / USAAF bomber base in 1944: He survived his credited 51 B-17 Flying Fortress bombing missions to German targets -- flown in less than 4 months (June 22 - October 13, 1944) with the 8th Air Force, 96th BG/338th BS. Photo supplied by Clyde's family.

Clyde E. Lybrook was a young B-17 tail gunner who flew out of the Snetterton Heath U.S. Army Airfield base in southeastern England during World War 2. In the period June thru October 1944 he was credited with 50 missions -- while earning the Air Medal, along with the Distinguished Flying Cross, to honor his bravery.
I see it as incredible that he survived and was able to return home to the United States. But Clyde was not able to live the long, full life he tremendously deserved to live, nor to see his son's birth; he passed away in 1953, due to Parkinson's disease.
Clyde's son and his family visited our Wings of Freedom Tour at Lyon's Air Museum at John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana, California), three of them taking a flight on "909", our B-17 Flying Fortress -- like the aircraft Clyde flew in.
My 'job' goes beyond working on the tour; I treasure being able to talk to veterans - and their families. When I was asked if I knew how to find a photo of the B-17 "In the mood" that was painted on Clyde's bomber jacket (a photo is with these), I started searching after I finished the tour; so far, I haven't found that B-17. But from the photos here, I believe I accomplished much more. I'm honored to share these with his family.
(Update 12/30/2023) Map location is only approximate. Reported as "Roxel. NW of Munster, Germany", where (a) B-17 "In The Mood" crashed during WW2. b17flyingfortress.de/en/b17/42-107022-in-the-mood/ Fate:
