I took this a few years ago. It was one of my favorite portrait shoots. It brings such joy watching kids playing, pretending, using their incredible imaginations. That sweet innocence. This was one of the more contemplative shots from an otherwise up beat and fun shoot. I know this is Smile on Saturday, but somehow this shot seamed appropriate to me after the events of this week in Uvalde, Texas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the two teachers and to those who lost their precious children.
It was the first time NiNi came out on one of my Kanto Flickr adventures... and she was a really fun addition to the group! It was great to meet and I hope that she'll join us on our photowalks in the future. The tray table & IFE monitor are located in the arm rest.
There is no floor storage during take off & landing.
An emergency exit is to the side of this seat, so there's plenty of room to stretch out your landing gear .......

The lyrics to her namesake, quite apt for Mustang Sally of Virgin Atlantic ( G-VROC ) on finals into Heathrow in 2013.
Willkommen - welcome to Lufthansa 787 economy.
The view from the rear of the dreamliner, most of this section was not occupied due to capped capacity on these crew training flights.
The economy cabin is fitted with Recaro seating arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration, while premium economy features a
2-3-2 configuration, total 21 seats.
Lufthansa began operating its new Boeing 787-9 on short haul flights between Frankfurt & Munich for crew training purposes on Wednesday 19th October 2022.
The first aircraft, D-ABPA "Piper Alpha " arrived in Frankfurt, Germany in late August 2022 & completed some cabin changes from its original Hainan specifications where the plane was originally destined. The first of 32 #Dreamliners Lufthansa
Selected flights between October 19th to October 31st 2022 will operate between FRA & MUN, up to three rotations, LH96/ 101, then 106/111 & 114/119, a big upgrade from the usual A320.
Following these few weeks of domestic flights, the "Berlin" will be introduced on long-haul services to New York (Newark) beginning 1st December 2022.
The #Lufthansa 787-9 is configured with 26 business class, 21 premium economy & 247 in economy.

Taking the new Sukhoi out for a spin on the bank holiday Monday, Cityjet's brand new Sukhoi EI-FWA departs on day 2 of familiarization with Dublin-Prestwick-Shannon-Prestwick flights 6th June 2016.
Introducing the new Superjet SSJ100 passenger aircraft from Superjet International, a joint development between Alenia Aermacchi, part of the Finmeccanica Group of Italy and the Russian Sukhoi corporation.
Irish airline Cityjet is the first airline in Europe to take delivery of the SSJ, featuring 98 seats in a 3+2 layout, 15 joining the airline over the next two years.
.....it was all so exciting way back in 2016, sadly it didn't work out between Sukhoi & Cityjet, Spare parts issues & reliability dogged this new upstart & soon all SSJ's were returned.
Jumbo cabin, the interior of a Lufthansa Boeing 747-8, this is the rear ecomomy cabin, seat rows 34- 49, packed full of Germans heading off to the island of Palma on their holidays.
Much is said about the sheer size of the overhead bins & spacious interior of the 747 itself.
It's the start of the Easter holidays 2022, after two years of pent up "stay at home" recommendations, the heave is on, especially in Germany to getback to the beach & sun.
Lufthansa operated two "heavies " from Munich & Frankfurt, usually seen on long haul services to Palma de Mallorca to cater for the extra demand, much like the did in 2021.

“Flight to Mars,” released in November 1951, was the first color motion picture about a journey to Mars. It was produced by Academy-award winning producer Walter Mirisch (early in his career), directed by Leslie Selander, and distributed by Monogram Pictures.
On the way to Mars their atomic-powered rocket ship suffers severe damage in a meteor storm and safely crash lands on the red planet. Soon after the crew leaves the ship they are met by five human-looking Martians at one of their above ground structures. The Earth crew is brought to a vast underground city which is being sustained by life-support systems fueled by a mineral called Corium. Seemingly benevolent, the Martians welcome the visitors with open arms and offer to assist them in repairing their rocket. But all is not as it seems. A sinister plot is uncovered to imprison the Earth crew and steal their rocket. The Martians need it as a template to build many more like it. They will build an armada of rocket ships so they can leave their dying planet and invade Earth. Mars is running out of Corium.

Day 1 of the 2019 Phicen/TBLeague Advent Calendar. One photo every day featuring a Phicen/TBLeague seamless body with no guarantees for any article of clothing other than a Santa hat.

This is a black & white (b&w) photo of my Dad that I colorized for a slide show at a memorial we held for my parents. To turn it into a color photo, I began with the Neural Filter in Photoshop and then, among many other things, used the Color blend model to paint in various colors without affecting the textures or luminosity. My brother, who has Dad's flight jacket, sent me a picture of it and I was able match the colors in the patch perfectly. The colorized version of the photo turned out much better than I had anticipated (it was my first attempt at this).
Dad was wearing his leather naval flight jacket and an odd-looking cap that had biplanes printed on it (biplanes were among the first planes that he flew). The shot was taken while he was flying one of his remote controlled airplanes. My guess is that this picture was taken in the late 1980s... and we think that a good friend of might have taken the photo.
My Dad was a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy... he was a naval fighter pilot and flew the Vought F4U Corsair off of the USS Essex (an aircraft carrier) during the Korean War. He then went into the Navy Reserves and became a pilot for Trans World Airlines (TWA) in 1953... eventually becoming a senior Captain. In 1960, he went active in the Navy for four years... and our family moved to Morocco, Africa and then to the Polaris submarine base in Rota, Spain.
He was picked by the Secret Service to fly Vice President Humphrey around for two years aboard a leased TWA jet while Humphrey was campaigning. While Dad was serving in the Navy Reserves, he also flew a cargo plane into Vietnam during the war... and he told me that he was the oldest Navy pilot do do so. He retired from TWA in 1987.
His hobbies included ham radio, He designed and built his own equipment and the Navy asked him to repair equipment that they couldn'. He also built and flew remote controlled model airplanes. People frequently asked him to test fly new models, knowing that if anyone could pull their plane out of trouble, he could. Some even drove from a hundred miles away.
Dad said that the best pilots in the world were Navy pilots because they had to land their planes at stall speed in the dark on a pitching/moving aircraft carrier deck. While flying for TWA, he would to his copilot and said, "Just think... they pay us to do this!" He loved flying. A retired TWA pilot who knew my father said, "Don was one of the good guys." He was among the best both as a father and a pilot.

The reasons why I'm so impressed with these headphones is the way they fold up (be careful with those hinges though) and the adjustable headband actually functions. Really nice piece.

Footwear is a pair of brown socks and a pair of brown work boots. They're both terrific pieces, though I find the socks a bit troublesome to get on over the tights.
