Delivered to Hillcrest on March 5, 2018.
Entered service on March 21, 2018 on route 504.
Undergoing repairs following a downed overhead incident at Dundas St W & Lansdowne Ave on December 30th, 2022.
Status: Inactive as of 2024
Day 31 – Flex
Captain's log. We are home. All of us, hero, survivors, SOSi, even the two robots, down the ramp and onto solid ground, and I don't mind admitting my knees gave way.
The dapper man walked us to the edge of the landing field, tipped a gloved hand, and went back aboard without a word. We stood there breathing real air. That should have been the end of it.
It wasn't, because the robots weren't finished. The big one from the silver ship and our battered little SOSi, side by side on the grass, and then, for no reason any of us could see, they raised their arms. Joints whirred. Servos whined. The big robot locked its elbow and swelled its pincers. SOSi, limping and scorched, hoisted its single working arm and bent it with enormous dignity.
It was a strength test. A show. A flex.
I know it. I couldn't tell you from where, but I know it, some old ritual of ours, half remembered, the sort of thing people did once for no reason but pride. The hero started to laugh. The survivors began to cheer.
We're home. The robots are showing off. Captain signing off...
I finally got a chance to actually do some artistic editing on my favorite photos from the shoot. I hope you like them!

Blackpool's Flexity tram 005 is seen just leaving Cabin and on the reserved track section to Bispham on a Starr Gate - Fleetwood Ferry service 27/9/15.
The Crystar Flex is a TLR camera with sportsfinder takes 6x6cm exposures on 120 roll-film it has a Crystar shutter with B,25,50,and 100 speed it has a C - Master c Anastigmat f3.5/80mm lens, Manufactured by Crystar Optical Works Japan Circa: 1953
All the Target Flex stores have this red overhang at the checkout, as well as this wall collage of sketches featuring a mix of local landmarks and scenes, as well as standard Target fare.
The store also has a second entrance/exit in the back onto a secondary street.

About 7 blocks away from the Chestnut West Target Flex is this second Target Flex. Both stores were opened within the last year. They fill a void left downtown since the Big Kmart (former Clover) closed in the Gallery Mall in 2014.
This 19,000 sq. ft. store is located all on one level and fits a CVS pharmacy, a Starbucks and the normal Target Flex departments--Market, Apparel, Health & Beauty, Home, Baby and Tech (electronics). Like all the Target Flex stores, "order pickup" is touted on the outside of the building.

I've wanted to revisit this one for a while now. The Ford Flex is one of the first MOCs I made and I'm really happy with this updated version. I completely took it apart and redesigned nearly every element. The front, windows, sides, interior, and chassis have all been reworked. The only thing that remains semi-intact is the roof... which was pretty good looking on the original if I do say so myself. I had a lot of fun building this one and I hope y'all do to!
