Showing the improved fleet number set up, for the E400 repaints in old new and new new livery.

The younger foxes that patrol the St James Churchyard are more naive and bold than their elders. Setting up for remote shooting, it has been frustrating to find a fox standing just out of touching distance staring curiously whilst the camera is feet away.

Perhaps it is because they are more used to my presence but it seemed time to try hand holding the camera again despite the very low light and high ISO. Any sharp movement and the skittish fox will slink into the shadows to skulk. Standing stalk still briefly, simply raising the camera spooked this one allowing only a few optimistic panning shots as it returned with a side long suspicious stare, back to the margins of the shadows.

Foxes are always portrayed as a simple red and white but their colouring is far more complex, varied by blacks and lighter shades which do a marvellous job in breaking up their shape and blending them into the shadows. The muzzle, especially on younger foxes, has black on either side which breaks up the outline of the head perfectly.

The Northcoast's entire locomotive roster teams up to move 39 loads over Wakefield Hill. 1801 and a few cars will be dropped at Tri-City in Rochester.

These dancers, at the South Maui Gardens Luau, definitely had fleet feet! So enjoyed their dancing, fire twirling, music and storytelling. They took us on a trip through a variety of Polynesian islands, including of course those of Hawaii. Admired how they performed this extended time of dancing on a concrete floor with bare feet and wondered why. When the fire dancers came out we understood the purpose of the flooring material. Would highly recommend if you are ever on Maui.

The entire working fleet of the Middletown and Hummelstown Railroad is side by side and fired up and ready to go.

At right is our chartered mixed train behind MIDH 151 (an Alco S6 blt. 1954 for the Western Maryland) and at left is a revenue freight behind GE 65 tonners number 1 (blt. Aug. 1941 as US Army 7272) and number 2 (blt. Apr. 1955 as Standard Slag 46). After a few side by side shots here we would be treated to a parade of sorts down Brown Street in sweet afternoon light as the two trains ran west back to back.

Not pictured is the M&H's fourth unit Alco T-6 1016. Blt. Jan. 1969 as Newburgh and South Shore 1016 it was the second to last locomotive to roll off the erecting floor at Schenectady before Alco closed shop after 68 years (or 114 if you coimt their earliest pre 1901 predecessor). The NSR was a subsidiary of US Steel at the time operating a 15 mile railroad in Cleveland supporting USS' Cuyahoga Works, which closed in 1984.

"Japan day" in Düsseldorf on saturady, 25.05.13.

A very interesting cultural festival with

several 100.000 visitors.

The highlight was the Japanese Firework very late in the evening.

Many visitors celebrated the firework on board of the fleet.

Once the pride of the UP fleet and being displayed brand new at Truckee Railroad Days in 2002, this SD70M now sits in a deadline in Roseville Yard awaiting disposition.

Every year, residents and visitors of Alma, NB send off the Lobster Fleet with a huge celebration including fireworks, pipers, and lots of local food. The fleet departs with the first high tide, whenever that occurs. This year (October 14, 2018), the tide was high enough to float the boats at 2 AM, so that's when the fesitvities occurred!

At the end of an exciting Fleet Week Air Show, the Six U.S. Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 E/F Super Hornets make their final low altitude high speed pass over Alcatraz Island in an amazingly tight formation.

The full line up of our coach fleet.

The Scania Irirzar tri axle and the vehicle immediately to its left mainly operate our coach service X62 from Newcastle to Chesterfield.

The two vehicles on the outsides are our older coaches in the fleet, and they tend to see the majority of school excursions, and our newly acquired pair will be used on executive contracts.

[I am so sorry for leaving you all hanging for so long! Life keeps happening. Argh.

I hope I still feel good about uploading this here in the morning. I just really needed something not flowery in my photo stream, because I was getting a bit carried away with all the flowers...

Anyone here play Journey? If not, please do. It's wonderful. Wonderful beyond words.]

Entry to the Small Starfighter Contest.

Well, it's been nearly six weeks since I last posted anything. I have my reasons though.

1) Homefront building, which is completed.

2) I now have a job.

3) Trying to finish Eagle Scout and another project before the end of next school year.

4) Swim team.

Takes up a lot of time, those four things. And it's summer. Gosh.

Hopefully next summer will be more restful.

Oh, and this will be coming to BF with me, along with another small starfighter that will hopefully be better designed. :P

I'll be there probably Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and just long enough on Sunday to pick up my stuff and finish up.
