In early October 2025, treasure hunters with the company 1715 Fleet–Queens Jewels, LLC, announced they had recovered over 1,000 gold and silver coins from a Spanish shipwreck off Florida's "Treasure Coast." The haul is estimated to be worth over $1 million. The artifacts were recovered from one of the ships of the 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet, which was destroyed by a hurricane on July 31, 1715.
The recovered coins will undergo a conservation process before being displayed to the public. Under Florida law, the state can claim up to 20% of any recovered treasure for research and public exhibition. The remaining items are divided between the salvage company and its subcontractors.
The recovery was made near Ambersand Beach, north of Vero Beach, by a crew led by Captain Levin Shavers. The area is part of Florida's famed Treasure Coast, so named for the many artifacts from the 1715 fleet found there over the years.

The lower section of Fleet Street, Torquay, was repaved and refurbished in early 2017. Stagecoach South West Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer no. 34877 proceeds along this section on Torquay local route 31 on Wednesday 22nd November. Fleet Street will close again in January 2018 for up too sixteen weeks to allow the remaining upper section to be refurbished to the same standard.

Stagecoach South West Scania/Enviro400 15867, carrying the dedicated two-tone green variant of Stagecoach colours for Hop-branded route 72, enters the unrefurbished upper section of Fleet Street, Torquay, on Wednesday 22nd November. This road will be closed in January 2018 for up to sixteen weeks so this section of the street can be refurbished to the same standard as the remainder of the street, which was done in 2017.

The IFR brings more than 17 foreign warships and 5,000 visiting sailors together with Canada’s Atlantic fleet in a major naval assembly doused in tradition. The last time Canada held International Fleet Reviews was in 1985 on the Atlantic and Pacific coast to highlight the 75th Anniversary of Canada’s naval service.
The IFR is part of Canadian Naval Centennial Celebrations organized to mark this significant moment in Canada’s naval history within the context of the centennial theme of, “Bring the Navy to Canadians. Events are aimed at honouring the past, showcasing the current navy and reinforcing the requirement for the future navy.

Holt Fleet Bridge, also known as Holt Bridge, is a cast iron arch bridge over the River Severn, at Holt in Worcestershire, England. It has a span of 150 feet (46 m); it was designed by Thomas Telford and opened in 1828. It is Grade II listed, and is similar to Telford's Galton Bridge, which is a Grade I listed structure that spans his canal at Smethwick.
The bridge was built with five cast iron ribs, with X-braced spandrels, as were several of Telford's bridges. It was strengthened in 1928. when the upper and lower parts of each rib and some of the diagonal struts above them were encased in concrete. The road deck was rebuilt in reinforced concrete and widened at the same time.
Semicircular arches at each end, built in red sandstone, allow for the passage of riverbank foot-traffic and floodwater.
