A Macallan 12-year-old on the rocks - some would say too many rocks. But it's summer time.

I don't know if this clock panel is what you'd call a solari display, but I love it. They still keep it working at the Standard Hotel in downtown LA.

An annoying loud talker plies his trade while a tortured woman looks on. Poor thing. At least I had a phone camera to use as revenge. She saw me taking the picture too, and seemed to approve. Whoever you are, nice woman, I hope you see this photo. I felt for you. I got off the train one stop later than you, at McPherson Square. The big talker was going all the way to Farragut West... I know, because he announced it to everyone.
