1960 Leyland Octopus Flatbed. William Hunter of Tarleton. GJM 768. Harrogate Showground. 7/8/22. This is another type of lorry that I remember very well. Leyland Comets look especially good in red.

Location : Barre (VT - USA)

This was on posted land, I had to shoot it with a telephoto and crop in for the image.

The substation crews used these trucks, as most of their work involved moving parts in and out of substations, and lifting the equipment into place, and rarely was the work out of reach of extension ladders.

Chevrolet - Montevideo - Uruguay.

The second pair of trucks arrives, to unload a Urus and a Viper. As they drove down Fairland St., people were wondering if they had broken down, but I hope it didn't prevent anybody from buying one!

Part of an Adana advert from Meccano Magazine in 1930 for their 45 shilling printing press. The pressed steel machine is actually quite small so those schoolboys must all be midgets!

This is a 48-point cut printed two ways on a Vandercook No. 4: (1) rolling the impression cylinder at a continuous rate down the bed, and (2) slowing the pace slightly as the cylinder goes over the form. The difference is more apparent at a normal viewing distance, which is difficult to convey in a photograph.

The two prints were made successively. Everything except dwell was identical. The paper is dampened Rives Lightweight. The cut was a challenge to print because the lines delineating the figure's eyes, etc., are very lightly inscribed in the metal.

Albion Cx1n Flatbed London to Brighton 2010

Why was this flatbed truck in our side parking lot last Friday?

From the "TAL" on its license plate, you can tell that this truck is over 30 years old.
