1989 - matching oshgosh b'gosh jumpers and red keds - a classic combo (in honor of kat's birthday this week).
It was 4th of July, which is why we have these cardboard firecracker things. They had candy in them, of course.
Quiz Bowl style.
Or, more accurately, Texaco Star Academic Challenge. We weren't very good (I'm pretty sure we lost this round) but we had a lot of fun doing it.
This photo is from October 1979. I've loved music all my life, and this is probably one of several dozen record players I have owned through the years. While most kids were busy playing outside and collecting baseball cards, I was always inside singing along with songs from my record collection. I find it funny that I was holding the guitar upside down, but even funnier that I can remember what record is playing in this picture. It was Rex Smith's "Sooner or Later." In college, I found a copy of the LP at a used record store and bought it for a buck. I still have it in my record stacks today. I believe it remains one of those relics that was never transfered to CD.

Malayan Tiger ... male named Taj
Had a little too much time on my hands and a few weeks worth of facial hair growth, so I took pictures of the transition from full beard to no facial hair. This is my favorite one. It is so ridiculous, I couldn't help but share. ;o)
