Today I made a Blythe version of the kitty flappy helmet, I made for the Latis a while ago. I´m not sure somehow... I have a super self-critical day today :( What do you think? Cosima likes it!

this picture is from 1997

it is rather strange sine I look Like a giant and really butch and sane too...

while Jennie (who actually is shorter than me and Thomas is squatting in a way that makes me look like a giant, almost like socialist realism or one of those JW covers, where I am the savior or leader...

Still it is just an illusion on this very picture... might it be my short period of lumberjack butch dressing style that I had in the mid 90´s?

Café Frequenters episode 245

--------------------------------------------

(1999, Malmö, Sweden)

Fikrets story:

...then I met him at the club, my girlfriend wanted his friends boyfriend and we composed a small plan to make it happen... He was dressed in a cheap poly kitsch white wedding dress and had a black latex mask with a far to huge flappy nose, which made him look like a turkey with amber colored eyes or where they blue? anyhow his nose was like a flaccid organ, he had friendly but nutty voice a bit like a child, giddy and happy and full of loving spite in a friendly way...

When we were mingling to get our planned mission to an end, the chain my girlfriend had me leached in got him and me mixed up from time to time, especially since I wasn´t use to walk in stilettoes so I came quite close to him, me smelled out of old beer and cigarettes, but not in a bad way, it sounds strange... and also he smelled a bit like old clothing too, I guess it was his wedding outfit? the latex.mask didn´t smell much at all??? weird!

This is what really happened to Flappy Bird.

My new wheels, and my first hot hatchback, following three and a half years of sensible, but boring diesel motoring behind the wheel of my old 130,000 mile plus Kia Rio. The vRS had 27,000 miles from new when I got it, and is in immaculate condition for its age.

Likes:

- Performance (obviously), 180bhp from this 1.4 TSI, turbocharged and supercharged engine

- Engine sound

- 7 Speed DSG Auto with flappy paddles on the steering wheel (It's the gearbox of choice for modern sports and supercars). I don't miss manuals at all in daily driving.

- Styling (Only in vRS form, have you seen how dowdy the normal Fabia looks?)

- vRS bucket seats

- Interior space (headroom, legroom front & rear, boot space all good)

- Handling

- Fuel economy (Yes I rate 37mpg pretty good on mixed conditions, mid 40s on longer runs)

- A great car for all types of driving; comfortable when driven carefully, a lot of fun when you aren't

- Visibility all round. Skoda are known for being generous with glass coverage, this is great for a modern car.

- I'm a Skoda owner, that's something I never thought would happen.

Dislikes:

- Trade off of good handling is bumpy ride, but it's not nearly as bad as many of its rivals

- Concerns about car park dings and other drivers

- Slightly behind the times technologically speaking; no DAB radio, bluetooth, satnav, or cruise control (These can all be retro fitted by main dealers if you wanted)

- Oil consumption - well documented with these engines, also used in the VW Polo GTI and SEAT Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra, which use a litre of oil every 600 miles. (Luckily I don't have oil cost worries where I work, so not a problem, but I don't think this is acceptable for a modern engine)

- The most expensive car I've ever bought, and possibly the most risky reliability wise (but for the latter; I have a Skoda extended warranty)

- Depreciation concerns

- Very difficult to keep clean

This is the newest and third car in my collection, added to my '86 Porsche 924S & '88 Rover 213. A diverse range of motoring choices there I'm sure you'll agree, which I still absolutely love.

Am I crazy? Probably, yes.

I think this lizard liked the look of me as he kept on flashing his red under-chin flappy thing at me, either that or he was just a flirt! But it was amazing to see. :-)

Photographed in our rented accommodation's garden in Mauritius.

The oriental garden lizard, eastern garden lizard or changeable lizard (Calotes versicolor) is an agamid lizard found widely distributed in indo-Malaya. It has also been introduced in many other parts of the world.

It is an insectivore and the male gets a bright red throat in the breeding season.

It measures over 10 cm (3.9 in) in length snout-to-vent. Total length including the tail is up to 37 cm (14.5 in). Two small groups of spines, perfectly separated from each other, above each tympanum. Dorsal crest moderately elevated on the neck and anterior part of the trunk, extending on to the root of the tail in large individuals, and gradually disappearing on the middle of the trunk in younger ones. No fold in front of the shoulder, but the scales behind the lower jaw are much smaller than the others; gular sac not developed. From thirty-nine to forty-three series of scales round the middle of the trunk. The hind foot (measured from the heel to the extremity of the fourth toe) is not much longer than the head in the adult, whilst it is considerably longer in the young. The coloration is very variable, sometimes uniform brownish or greyish-olive or yellowish. Generally broad brown bands across the back, interrupted by a yellowish lateral band. Black streaks radiate from the eye, and some of them are continued over the throat, running obliquely backwards, belly frequently with greyish longitudinal stripes, one along the median line being the most distinct; young and half-grown specimens have a dark, black-edged band across the inter-orbital region.

The ground-colour is generally a light brownish olive, but the lizard can change it to bright red, to black, and to a mixture of both. This change is sometimes confined to the head, at other times diffused over the whole body and tail. A common state in which it may be seen (as stated by Mr. Jerdon) is, seated on a hedge or bush, with the tail and limbs black, head and neck yellow picked out with red, and the rest of the body red. Jerdon and Blyth agree that these bright, changeable colours are peculiar to the male during the breeding-season, which falls in the months of May and June.

Mouhot has collected in Siam one of those fine variations of colours, which, however, appear to be infinite. It has the usual cross streaks between the eyes and the radiating lines continent of India to China; it is very common in Ceylon, not extending into the temperate zone of the Himalayas. Ceylonese specimens are generally somewhat larger; one of them measured 16 inches, the tail taking 11 inches. It is found in hedges and trees; it is known in Ceylon under the name of "Bloodsucker", a designation the origin of which cannot be satisfactorily traced; in the opinion of Kelaart, the name was given to it from the occasional reddish hue of the throat and neck. The female lays from five to sixteen soft oval eggs, about 5/8 of an inch long, in hollows of trees, or in holes in the soil which they have burrowed, afterward covering them up. The young appear in about eight or nine weeks. In a hot sunny day a solitary Bloodsucker may be seen on a twig or on a wall, basking in the sun, with mouth wide open. After a shower of rain numbers of them arc seen to come down on the ground and pick up the larva and small insects which fall from the trees during the showers.

During the breeding season, the male's head and shoulders turns bright orange to crimson and his throat black. Males also turn red-headed after a successful battle with rivals. Both males and females have a crest from the head to nearly the tail, hence their other common name "Crested Tree Lizard".

Changeable Lizards are related to iguanas (which are found only in the New World). Unlike other lizards, they do not drop their tails (autotomy), and their tails can be very long, stiff and pointy. Like other reptiles, they shed their skins. Like chameleons, Changeable Lizards can move each of their eyes in different directions.

Another one of young Bonnie - I'm not sure you can have too many of sweet Bonnie! Here she is showing off her "running-as-fast-as-she-can-with-a-crazed-face-and-flappy-ears" skills. She's rather good at it I think!

Fishing boat " Flappy Flappy" - Levanto

Flapjack enjoying New Year's Eve. Well, he would have enjoyed it more if he got some more mini hot dogs!

Flapper and I hang out in the yard on a chilly Seattle fall evening. He likes to tuck his beak against my face. I like it too.

Taken last Sunday....poor Flappy is ready for us to leave!

Explored! :D

Strobist Info : 430EXII stofen'd camera left, Vivitar 2800 into Softbox camera upper right, SB-800 subject rear rimlight, another SB-800 far camera right pointed at the wall.

today was awesome. borrowed my friend Jeff's (2) SB-800's giving me a total of 4 strobes to work with!

...after uploading i realized the sad fact that i'd rather spend money on photo stuff than new shoes.

Flapper hung out in the house with me last night for awhile. I only had one light on. Something spooked him around the corner and then he huddled close to me until he could get back to sleep. I think he might have had a nightmare.

Flappy and Not Flappy

Giant flappy Bat wings that clearly set a statement and catch quite some eyes. I love how these turned out and how big they are.

Riesige flatternde Flügel als Statement Halsband oder Kette welche definitiv ein Blickfang auf der Brust und im Dekolletee sind. Ich liebe es einfach wie groß die geworden sind.

I do not think Cosmo gets what Hug Your Cat Day is For - but Flappy is there via the Photobomb!

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE AND COMMENT WHEN YOU FAVORITE. IT MEANS SO MUCH MORE!

"Hello people of Gotham! It's me again!" Screens all over Gotham were changed from their reality television and Flappy Birds to a blurry live feed of the Red Hood. "I have a message for Gotham's own, Roman Sionis. You weren't present for Falcone's mob meeting, which means you're still out there wrecking havoc in Gotham's drug world. That being said, time for the real message. You have failed this city, which is why, there are bombs all around your little office building with a one minute timer. But don't run yet... I'm going to give you a choice, you can either run and live. Or you can give up now and let it be quick and easy. Keep in mind, if you choose the former rather than the latter. I will hunt you down and make sure death is as slow and painful as possible. Understood? Great! The timer starts.... now."

What if Jolly Roger LTD made a Little Robots ride in 2004 under license from Create TV & Film Limited?

Description:

Under a pile of scrap, there laid this little chap! Jolly Roger is proud to announce that the official Little Robots ride is coming to town! This ride features cool characters from the show, the well-known theme tune and fun sound effects and will sure become popular with any Little Robots fan. This ride is also available with a video screen where you can meet your favourite Little Robots.

This ride is based around a normal car with a Little Robots design and features Tiny and the Sparky Twins, the theme tune from the show and four sound effects. It will be released with or without a video screen (released in 2007; similar video screen as Underground Ernie, Noddy, Rupert and Thomas) and features more sound effects.

The following sounds are:

1. Hoooooooonk!

2. BeeBeep!

3. Prrp Prrp!

4. "Wow-wee!"

If you're wondering what the attract mode and pushbutton sound could be, they are:

Attract mode: "There's Tiny, Messy, Sporty, Stretchy, Rusty, Stripy, Noisy, Spotty, Scary, "Boo!" Flappy the Bat, the Sparky Twins! "That's us!" And that's that." (also on video option)

Pushbutton sound: "I'm sure I can fix it, but I'll probably need a new lever!"

However, this is just for fun. JR never made a Little Robots ride.

Wing flappy time!

Not the first flappy picture I've taken. Note the woman, partly obscured by the tree throwing down corn for the pigeons right in front of the bus, much to the consternation of the driver

Greater Manchester Police, BMW 5 series saloon, MX62 CVK, RPU Motorway specification vehicle. Luke loves the 'flappy paddle' gearboxes on these. Taken at the Central Workshop Complex, Openshaw on Saturday the 13th of April 2013. Saturday 13 April 2013 DSCF7530

"Who takes the fish, takes my dinner... So you lot up there all whizzing about could you please just stop it... it's very distracting.... could you just stay still because i am TALKING! Now the question of the hour is.. who has the fish? Answer - i do. Next question, who's coming to take it away from me? Come on look at me... no plan, no back - up and no weapons worth a damn... oh and something else, i don't have anything to loose so... if your flapping up there in your silly little flappy world with your silly little flappy divebombing thoughts and you've got any plans of taking the fish tonight just remember who's standing in your way! Remember every black day i ever stopped you and then... and then.... do the smart thing and let somebody else try first!"

Rant over!!
