these guys got their pink colouration from their natural diet of blue-green algae and a specific type of brine shrimp in the wild.
In captive environment, they have to be fed with alternative supplements.
Wonder if they turn brown when fed with dark chocolate.

Part of an amazing flock of 19 wild American Flamingos currently calling Everglades National Park home. Taken 10 miles west of Flamingo in Lake Ingraham.
