CC Week 15: juxtaposition.
Pieris Forest Flame is all-in-one when it comes to juxtaposition. Right now, it is at it's best in my garden.
This is a daily sight for me on my commute to and from work... it is a gasoline refinery. Sometimes the flame is very big and sometimes there isn't one at all. I have tried to get a decent shot when the flame was a decent size now for a while. This was my first success. I may crop it a bit just because of the visual clutter of the window line. I will undoubtedly try to capture this again, perhaps at night.
One of many fires in the area, the fire burned though a forest and a farmers field .Came just feet form houses.

These Illawarra Flame Trees were photographed at Purfleet, as you come off the Freeway at the southern entrance to Taree, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. The trees do make for a spectacular entrance to Taree from the south.
They're quite spectacular in full flowering and no more so than here at Purfleet where there are dozens of them.
The trees here, in late November 2021, are now bigger and flowering better than I've ever seen them do before following two wet years which have helped the trees put on a lot of growth.
The town of Taree is particularly well endowered with Illawarra Flame Trees with this entrance to the town, and many main thoroughfares, lined with them.

I had hoped for more reflections out of this shot, but this was all I could get.
