Daily Create Assignment 8 - "Take a photo that visually represents a sound" tdc.ds106.us/tdc8/
This was an incredibly difficult daily create assignment for me, as I had to push past the frustration of not being able to actually capture the sound of the fire. Even the fire itself isn't exactly a roar in my fireplace, but it has the wonderful snap, crackle, pop that you can enjoy on a winter afternoon.
+ A billion in the comments.
Tonight, dad's boss gave him 4 front row tickets to the Flames and Canucks game. We missed the first period, because of traffic, but the game was amazing. It felt SO good to be back at the 'Dome. Hockey season is upon us, thank god. Anyways, I took a bunch of pictures, but unfortunately they all turned out crappy because my camera is a shitty little point and shoot that can't handle motion, and the glass in front of us was diiiiiirty. Haha :) But yeah, Flames won. GO FLAMES GO!

A cold Cumbrian night - Mum & Dad's open fire. Taken with my point & shot, the SLR's winging its way to Australia where I'll join it in January!

Calm Flame.
When back from unexpected trip to London and bereft of any good ideas, use candle flame. Can’t go wrong with a candle flame.
Although I did try refracting the light through a Hoegaarden glass, I like this better ‘cos if you stare at it for a bit the tip looks like its gently moving.
That could be just me though. Anyways, it’s an easy way out. Job done. — at twydall
