Yet more demo. Did I mention we're replacing all the drywall because of the horrible wallpaper that refuses to come off? Thanks, Monkey Family. Thanks a lot.

Before: This is a picture of the front door taken from inside the little entryway.

Before: This picture is taken standing at the front door and looking into the west end of the living room.

The mess left behind by removal of the old dishwasher, the old oven and the cabinets that held them in place.

Me at 2am, done for the night and proud of my work.

Before: From bottom of steps, looking into the basement bedroom.

Jeff brought this to me from the basement and said, "Sweetie, I made some art. I call it 'Frustration.'" Hahaha.

(No, he didn't actually make it, that's just how the bucket naturally dried overnight. See how serious this crap is?)

Jekyll would like you to know that she is not happy with the remodel.

The side wall astounds me. I can't imagine why Monkey Family ever thought it was okay to pour a 3 foot thick concrete porch all around this tiny brick house.

He would use a rake to grab the pipe and just throw it everywhere. Typical engineer.

Gypsy was really terrified of approaching the hole. Like it was going to eat her or something.

We used every tube of this adhesive and one extra. Super potent stuff.

Before: North wall on back porch.

Jeff asked them to pack down the dirt by the front door. Um, careful what you wish for.

So glad to see some new life in my new raised flowerbed!

... an old template for the can lights, but with measurements on it. Behind the vanity wall.

The only problem: if you bend a piece, it stays bent. No fixing it.

This is me cleaning out the thinset and preparing for grout.

My three dollar solution for keeping the damn cats out for 24 hours without a door.

So close to finishing... and then we ran out of thinset. 60 square feet per bag, my ass.

The dogs are thoroughly confused and the front door just looks lonely.

The vent cover was tricky, but the weird cuts for our uneven walls are the real pain.

128 spindles on this damn deck. This is taking forever.

The back corner of the house. At least they did everything right here.
