Raven has been trying for 3 nights to get in this bathroom - no matter how much we scold her. She has to be the most rebellious, mischievous cat I've ever known.

11/1/2006 -- Danville fixer-upper.

Kitchen cabinets now all painted with new steel hardware. Next: walls, c-tops, appliances, door.

Even with yards of plastic dropcloths, compounding is messy... and tricky.

We ended the french drain in a dry well that will also come out the retaining wall.

We've decided that because this is a real bathroom vanity with real drawers (and not a modified kitchen cabinet like the previous one), that we will move it over and eliminate having a tall storage cabinet. We're hoping it will work provided it has actual smaller drawers for bathroom storage.

The bathroom is now officially painted. Next up, the sink.

After nearly 5 months of constant calls and being ignored, we had enough and threatened the basement contractors with bad publicity and a complaint with the BBB. They showed up within days.

After: Finally - one room finished!! Upstairs bathroom is done!!! What a difference a coat of paint and a few finishing touches makes. This little cabinet was once a sewing machine cabinet, and now will be used to store towels and other bathroom essentials.
