A PHL job passes through Rolling Junction just outside of Watson Yard with a cut of baretable intermodal. At the far left is a fixed-position blade used as an approach to one of the nearby interlockings.

We were away for a couple of days doing some winter camping and visited a favorite spot on a very gray/rainy day. Strangely, I'd never noticed that the lighthouse lantern had a red lamp. Perhaps it was the darker day that brought out the fixed red color.

Testing some of my remaining fogged paper, only usable for lumen printing or in some cases also lith printing.
Rinsed and fixed in 2% Hypo. Toned in Moersch MT2 Carbon toner 1+25, 2 min.
You always sacrifice something when fixing lumen prints, almost always colour. But for the price of that + toning you get archival quality. The choice is yours.

During our vacation here, we unfortunately felt the effects of the Calima for a few days. In the meantime, however, I have found a few ways to reduce the Sahara haze during photo development and thus give the photo back the corresponding dynamic.

Thought I'd try something simple for the Nikon F3 debut. It has a very good light meter, otherwise about the same quality output as the old Nikkormat FT. I think I'll be using the F3, the 28 mm Nikkor off the FT in tandem with the Nikon 28-45 zoom, and definitely sticking with the Fujifilm Pro 400. What a great film it is, I love the tones and the latitude of forgiveness.

The Confederation Bridge
12.9 kilometers long, opened on the 31 of May 1997.
At a total construction cost of one Billion dollars.
It is the longest bridge in the world crossing ice covered water.
What a cool scene I sensed here as I turned the corner first. As always, the people were helpful and so very nice. Many are rather curious, or let's put it this way, they pretend to be curious. (¬‿¬)
The composition was already clear to me, as I had already been here the day before and was able to memorize my position well. This photo is perhaps a little more sombre, but on closer inspection, the joy and colors here have by no means disappeared. Because these details, joy and color will always be part of my photos.
I love her art Hania Rani so young and so talented. The song Glass the video ♫ was recorded in Berlin and many sequences were shot in the district where I grew up. Speaking of Berlin, I may soon have something completely new from Berlin in terms of photography. But will that be something for Flickr? I'm not sure yet. Anyway, I won't have much time to share photos anytime soon, but I'll try to keep an eye on your excellent work.
