Most of the morning was spent trying to fix this headstone.The roots from these trees had gotten under it and were pushing it over. Wish I would have gotten a pic of the final product... it looked really nice!

Today I started something entirely for myself. I've been thinking a lot recently about my financial situation, and I'm not overly happy about it.
I thought that the best way to help with the above problem is to put my skills to use, which today seems to be computer fixing. So I'm advertising my services to anyone who wants them, to fix issues with Macs or help people get started with them.
My first call came from Gumtree and turned out to be for a broken iMac. So today I went to meet this person and got my first solo work.
It could be the start of something good. At the very least, its the start of me running my own business, even if its very minor for now.

Just figured out FINALLY (after using photoshop for 19 years) what Shadow/Highlight is for.
The default settings are pretty good but you might be able to do better by tweaking them. The final here was tweaked, then auto-colored.
Adobe is great but they never name things with any common sense. I am sure there are 100 reasons why they can't call that dialog box "Fix Backlighting"
I'm still using CS3 by the way. I'll be 90 before I figure out how to use everything that was in Photoshop 3.
