Fixing up the Cemetery at Fort Fillmore, south of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Early settlers of the Mesilla Valley, as well as soldiers from the Civil War are buried here.

This is the finished rocking chair. Every piece was sanded down, primed, sanded, painted, sanded, and varnished. I used a jigsaw to cut out pieces for the seat cushions to replace the damaged wicker. Fabric is from Discount Fabric in downtown SF, and I got to use my new staple gun from Ace Hardware.
#POTD 145/366 (May 24): On the road again. Going to Yuma to fix some stuff. The sands that blow across the road is fucking crazy and that's putting it lightly. It's sad that you can't really see it in a photo but the amount that just blows across the road is insane. A Liverpool Fixer, whose Tourette’s syndrome is often mistaken for aggressive behaviour, wants more people to understand the complex neurological condition and not make snap judgements.
Twenty-year-old Tom Baker, who was diagnosed a year ago, feels his uncontrollable outbursts, known as tics, often lead to awkward moments and misunderstandings in public.
Tom has used his experiences to help produce a film with Fixers showing how the syndrome affects his everyday life.

Our slater fixing slates and lead flashing in the awkward area where the 'new' extension (1920's) joins the original 1790 structure. I had to risk annoying him by firing off the flash for this shot. He said he didn't mind me posting the picture on the internet if it resulted in someone in a nice warm climate offering him work!!
I need to stop with the nature photos now..
I've got a little photo idea that i'm going to do this weekend! I hope the puddles don't evapourate before then. :}
