I walked a 5K today with my girls and 2 friends on Belle Isle for the Belle Isle Nature Zoo. This was a first for me. My goal was to not come in last and I achieved that by coming in 317 out of about 340 and my time was 1:01:46 so I was happy with that. I even ran across the finish line. Not bad for an out of shape old broad...lol

ZAHS advanced band performs at Grandberry Mall
Zama American High School’s advanced band played for the first time in a local foreign national concert venue May 22 at Grandberry Mall.
Kevin Hanson, Zama American School band teacher, said he has been here nine years and they have been unable to find a venue off-base.
“For this performance opportunity, we had to send a video of the band to be asked/accepted to play,” said Hanson.
The symphonic band of 41 students played a variety of music to include some Disney movie themed music, Batman’s theme song and the Mission Impossible movie theme song.
Hanson said the mall manager was watching the crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
“We were invited to come back anytime,” said Hanson.
