It's Day 2 of my daily photo project, and today marks the first day of spring 2010.
The buds are coming out right on cue for the first time this year, and it took me some time today deciding which shot to use... There's so much life that's just sprung into action, and a beautifully sunny day.
I had thought about capturing a skywards bud on a backdrop of wispy clouds, bright blue sky, and jetstream... But I chose this instead.
The main bud on this photo is approximately 4mm in diameter.

It felt so amazing to know that there was no one person around me. Nobody to judge me sticking my arms up and taking in this beautiful sight like a whorshiping child of god.
There are signs of spring around my house.
Chinese fringe flower plant (Loropetalum chinense), a relative of the witch hazel - they are both in the Hamamelidaceae family
