Ah.... the pleasures of travelling first class. After a busy few days in California, this Crown and Seven was much needed. But, my "commercial photography" senses started tingling so I snapped this photo in the reading light in first class on Alaska Airlines flight 221 back to Seattle.

This is the adult, a few photo's back was a young one, the male and female look the same except the male has alittle more orange on his head, this is a female I think.
While I did enjoy Bryan Singer’s return to the X-MEN franchise with DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, I still don’t believe it warranted the hype that came with it. A thoroughly-enjoyble adventure it may have been but I’d place X2, FIRST CLASS and THE WOLVERINE higher in the running order...
Heston Blumenthal is one of my favourite celebrity chefs; and it has been customary for me to enjoy my food on the sky accompanied by one of the episodes from Heston's TV shows. Believe me, it takes your food to a different level and it somehow elevates the tastes too!!
Shown here is 4 different kinds of drinks served for my meal: Dom Perignon Champagne; Sauternes Wine (My ultimate favourite) ; Silverkris Sling (alcoholic) and a glass of water (not for washing your hand).
Interior of refitted First Great Western first class carriage. The seats are a little firmer and the leather covers less baggy than previously. The branded head rest has hints of the original GWR's brand.
