The peak of happiness

A mother & her firstborn baby.

And in the years after.. but not only her son, also

Haircut, surely I made that time of life, but not nowadays.

Thanks for visiting.

First-born brown eggs claim to have more nutritional content due to the fact that it is the first egg being born to the young, healthy hen in its lifetime. According to Healthxchange.com.sg the cholesterol content of firstborn eggs is about 110 to 150mg per egg, which is generally lower than regular eggs (which are around 186mg).

Zechariah 12:10:

I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

Instead of a temporary forgiveness, they will receive an eternal forgiveness!

Romans 11:26–27 promises:

And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob. This is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.’Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. — Isaiah 55:1–2

Luke:

6....the time came for the baby to be born,

7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

10...."Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

Mother and son

died 1853

She died during childbirth at the age of 23.

He died 4 months later.

The child has gone also to meet his Mother in the skies. He cannot return to us but we can go to him.

This one hurt my heart. My firstborn and I almost died during childbirth so this left me silent, tears in my eyes..

Luke 2:4-7

4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Last Firstborn by: Celldweller

Pesach year 5782-2022 will begin in the evening of Friday, April 15 and ends in the evening of Saturday, April 23

Pesach : חַג הַפֶּסַח - Passover, is a major Jewish holiday that celebrates the exodus of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, which occurs on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan, the first month of Aviv, or Spring.

The word Pesach can also refer to the Korban Pesach, the paschal lamb that was offered when the Temple in Jerusalem stood.

According to the Book of Exodus, God commands Moses to tell the Israelites to mark a lamb's blood above their doors in order that the Angel of Death will pass over and they will not be touched by the tenth plague, death of the firstborn. After the death of the firstborn Pharaoh orders the Israelites to leave, taking whatever they want, and asks Moses to bless him in the name of the Lord. The passage recalls the time when the Lord passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt.

The celebration begins at sundown with the Seder dinner, the ritual meal, also called the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

During this meal, the story of the Exodus from Egypt is retold using a special text called the Haggadah. A total of four cups of wine are consumed during the recitation of the Haggadah.

Day 50

Taken in August 2000, on the day of our sixth wedding anniversary. The pearls were a gift.

This was in the kitchen of our first house, a lovely little bungalow built in 1924. We tore out the whole kitchen soon after this photo was taken and remodeled it ourselves.

Also -- within a year our firstborn arrived.

I'm not sure if it was Kodachrome II or Ektachrome.

Registration: I-DEMF

Named: Portofino

Paint: Baci special colours

Type: 747-243B

Engines: 4 × GE CF6-50E2

Serial Number: 22508

First flight: Dec 11, 1980

1971 brought Alitalia a new airliner model—the Boeing 747-200. If the first Jumbos were a trial run, the "two-hundreds" became a true masterpiece. More powerful General Electric engines, increased range and takeoff weight. Now Alitalia's fleet operated five passenger 747s of both models. And although by the end of 1981, both "firstborn" 747-100s had left the Alitalia fleet, deliveries of the 747-200 resumed by that time, and the fleet size began to grow.

Among those "two-hundreds" of the early '80s was today's star of our poster. From its first days of existence, this aircraft was no different from its six siblings working at the company at the time. Only seventeen years later did it radically change its image.

The Boeing 747-200 with registration I-DEMF and the name "Portofino" one morning "woke up"... different. Instead of Alitalia's standard green-red-white livery, its almost entirely blue fuselage was adorned with the inscription "Baci Perugina" and images of the famous Italian chocolates with love notes in different languages. Now it was a flying advertisement for the iconic Italian chocolate.

The dive bomber B 17 was the first aircraft designed and produced by Swedish aircraft manufacturer SAAB. This example, serial number 17239, is a B17A powered by a Pratt & Whitney radial and is today the sole airworthy survivor.

Naturally it was with humbleness and gratitude I looked forward to this meeting in the skies just outside Saab's hometown Linköping. A fine memory.

Rebecca and I..........I am soooooo proud of her! Can hardly believe my firstborn is getting married!

The food was great by the way........:)

and I love it.

My firstborn will be in Kindergarten in a few short months.

I have been home with him for five years now.

The days can sure be looooooooong and hard but damn have the five years flown by.

This is Florence, my paternal grandmother whom I never knew. She married Levi, a farm worker, in 1910.

Seen here with 4 of her 6 children c1920: l to r: standing: Fred, Mary, Bert, my father then in a dress sitting on his mum's lap, , and sitting in front, Jack.

Reggie, her firstborn, died from pneumonia aged 5

Betty, my dear auntie, not yet born, lived to be 91 years and 1 week.

Florence had the great misfortune, in those days of few cars, to be involved, in 1935, as a pedestrian, and with her 2 daughters, Mary & Betty, in an accident with a runaway car outside the blacksmith's in the sleepy village of Claydon, Suffolk, where they lived.

The girls had minor injuries but Florence was seriously hurt and died two years later.

Betty, my auntie, became a great confidante to me in later years. She remembered and wrote down for me, the opening words of the vicar, Rev Newell, at her mother's funeral: 'Lives like Florence Ethel Martin's are the salt of the earth, undistinguished in the eyes of the world, known only to their family and friends....'

I would like to have known my grandmother but, in a way, feel that I do.

It was evidently not the custom, in that era, to smile when having one's portrait taken in the studio.........

In which the firstborn returns to her old high school and sits down to draw her siblings.

Telling you a personal story with this picture...

I don't know how many are reading this text at a time when most of the peoples are on summer vacation or escaping the heat. In any case, I want to tell you a story with this picture that some people don't want to hear. That's how I think for myself. The photo is not a beauty as such, especially from a technical point of view because it was originally taken with an analogue camera and was later digitized by me. Since I'm very untalented with computers, I probably made some mistakes while editing. Well, the photo was taken in 1993 when I visited Israel again with my family, a country which is very controversial and makes headlines almost every day. Unfortunately, you hardly hear all the positive things that the small country in the Middle East has to offer. At least that's how it is here in Europe.

The picture shows you me with my firstborn son sitting together on a wall near Mt. Scopus and its University and enjoying the view of Jerusalem, the city with a history of more than 3000 years. A lot connects me to this place and a lot arouses strong feelings in me that tears roll down my cheeks. There were moments of bliss and moments of great emotion that still touch me to this day, deep down in my soul. Sometimes I want to go back there and experience it all again, but I can't. Family means everything to me.

We never went with a tourist guide, so we were all on our own and that was beautiful and always a great adventure in worth seeing Land of the middle east. Why am I actually telling you all this? It's an important - probably the most important part of my life that I spent here. Some of you will now have questions that I will not answer here. It is deep in my heart what I and my family experienced in this ancient land. A land full of history and secrets, a land full of vitality and hope. A country that emerged from one of the darkest chapters in human history. I've made a lot of friends here, but I've lost a lot too. Life is sometimes very painful and certainly not fair. Or should I rather say the world at this point? At least that was my feeling back then and it hurts me to this day. Have I lost my connection to all of this or is there a way back for me sometime and somewhere? I want to visit you again, feel you again in my soul, the Land of my destiny.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but probably also something right, because I can share with my children everything that makes life so beautiful, but also what sometimes makes life so difficult. It started here above the rooftops of Jerusalem...

My personal photography consists of many little stories and sometimes I pull out one of them to tell you. I'm actually primarily concerned here with memories that are strongly connected to my life and not with photography in the usual sense. I thank my dear friends for listening and a little bit of understanding. Maybe I'll delete the photo later. I'm kind of torn about all of this.
