First Aid Kit (Johanna Söderberg & Klara Söderberg w/ producer Mike Mogis) @ the Fonda Theater, Los Angeles, CA. October 16th, 2012.
I was really looking forward to this show & it was even better than I'd expected. Mike Mogis, the producer of The Lion's Roar (& many other amazing albums!), performed with them & added an interesting element to their live show that was different from when I saw them last. Here are my two favorite songs from from this most recent album:
Emmylou: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PC57z-oDPLs
King Of the World (featuring Conor Oberst): www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrEo-SyCKJ4

Happy Birthday to producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes! Can't tell you how many of my favorite albums were produced by Mike. Love seeing him tour with different bands, too!

The front panel looks as though it has been shot at!
This is, I think, a Police Post PA No 1. It is located at Bishopgarth, the West Yorkshire Police Training Centre in Wakefield.
I think these were produced between the 1930-60s. It could be used by the public and the light at the top flashed to aid response. During the war years a "black-out disc" was fixed above the light so that it would not be seen by enemy bombers. Some posts such as this carried a First Aid Kit in the panel below the call box.
There was no handset in these, opening the door connected the phone automatically and you then just had to speak into the microphone inside. It ran on an Ericsson PA 150 Telecommunications system.

I have been working on getting everything ready that is on our list to have our home certified for being foster parents.
My dear Mum's old first aid kit, a large Quality Street tin. (Yes, we ate all of its original content.) Candy and band-aid: what an appropriate combination.

You can see the bulge below the front panel which could have held a First Aid Kit.
