This is a first aid kit from the year 1918, so WW1 my friends.

And it's been lying around in my summer house cabin for a while now.

On it it says the instructions on how to use it, what model, what it is and who made it.

This is a second crack at a level 0 first aid kit (1person, 1injury, 1day)

Clockwise from the top:

Ziplock1 with aspirin, ibuprofen, loperamide, benadryl

Ziplock2 with self-stick bandage and safety pins

Ziplock3 with CPR mask and nitrile gloves

Ziplock4 with band-aids and butterfly closures

Triple antibiotic, Telfa 3x4, topical benadryl, DEET and non-DEET insect repellent

6x6.75inch document bag to hold it all in.

This sort of kit has a lot of compromises in it in terms of wound care and handling blood loss. This is for an urban office environment with some summer comfort items thrown in. Its not intended for hiking, distance travel, automobile or home use.

Its missing burnjel. I'm all out of packets.

I was really looking forward to this show & it was even better than I'd expected. Mike Mogis, the producer of The Lion's Roar (& many other amazing albums!), performed with them & added an interesting element to their live show that was different from when I saw them last. They stood at the front of the stage and sang "without modern technology".

When I commute into work, these are the things that I carry.

Not pictured: My lunch, handkerchief, water bottle, maps in a plastic bag, the clothes on my back, and an extra set of clothing to change into including socks, underwear, bra, slacks, blouse. (I lay out my clothes in a stack and roll them up lengthwise. Cuts down on space and wrinkles.)

I keep all of my tools in an ultra-sophisticated plastic grocery bag. When all of this stuff is in my pack it is pretty full, but remember to leave a little extra space so you can take off a layer.

This building on Flinders Street was being attended to by a team with mountain-climbing gear. This guy is fixing the gaps in wall above the window, and another fella was washing the windows up very very high.
