Firewall broke down yesterday, started to edit on this shot from Sundays walk, but got so annoyed with lack of internet access that I couldn't focus, so started again today, but it seems my mood yesterday spilled into the river :-)
On backup solution today, so mood is better... web addicted me?

I found this gateway when I was out on Wednesday hoping to catch the sunset. Unfortunately some storm clouds blocked the sun before it hit the horizon but I made some pictures of the after sun colours.
This evening I noticed the clear horizon and clouds overhead and was pretty sure it was going to be a good one. I got to Deer Leap on the Mendips with about 20 minutes to spare so I quick marched across two fields to this spot and set up just in time for the light show. I haven't had the opportunity to catch light like this for ages and it's such a brilliant experience.
Technical details: Nikon D700, 24-70mm @ 31mm, ISO 100, f/16, 1.6 sec, .9 and .3 Hard ND grads.

From my weekend in Toronto, visiting my old stomping grounds. It was tough choosing today's photo out of everything I captured, but I think this was the winner. Other stuff will get uploaded tomorrow after some much-needed sleep.

Take a whisk, some steel wool, a lighter, some string and a willing friend (Turnpops) and enjoyment can be found in the darkest of places.
