The weekend comes, and that means I get to work on my garden, I got a big storage box which will be my "garden shed" I added a birdcage themed wall hanging, I added blue and green pots and it looks really cute, plus I worked on my fire pit turned succulent garden, giving it a bit of an overhaul it is just about a year old.

Couldn't be bothered getting the firepit going tonight, so I used a gas heater haha

At a firepit after skiing.

Not much happened during the weekend. Just some skiing and idling at a fire.

It's always fun to leave camera somewhere on interval mode taking pictures by itself.

Here I used 2sec shutter to capture sparks from the fire. Sparks make fire look more lively. 4sec would have been even better, but if there are humans (me) in the picture they'll get blurry.

Had to make this unnecessary big fire as there was only a saw but no axe. With round wood the fire needs to burn extra hot. So made "a bit" bigger fire then.

16-35mm is handy for interval mode photos, at 16mm it's wide enough to include just about everything. Just crop the photo afterwards. Here I've left about 60% of the pixels.

There was a strange lock-up with my A7RV though. I guess the -8C temperature caused issues. I wonder how it will handle the winter, and will I need to swap (again) to my A7RII with a powerback and a dummy battery adapter.

"1962 Ibsen Nelsen designed mid-century modern. Nelsen’s renowned works include glass-sheathed Museum of Flight at Boeing Field, Inn at the Market at Pike Place & Merrill Court townhouses at Capitol Hill. The current owners fully renovated the home’s interior & exterior, changing the garden so that it offers complete privacy."

Illumination Night at Hillside Campgrounds 2018. Despite very wet conditions due to heavy rain the 2 days prior, we all soldiered on for another successful display.

Not even remotely period, but WAY freakin' cool.

Apparently smoke keeps the "skeeters" away

I had a fire, using my friendly neighbour's firepit, to burn some broken fence panels. We drank some beer, had a BBQ (not over the fire!) and burnt stuff. Perfect evening!
