Fire exit of the former Glebe Sugar Refinery in Greenock.

Seen at the back of the old Newark Hospital building on Sherwood Road. A very awkward spot to shoot from as only available gap in a line of dense bushes and I am stood on the pavement, looking though a thick metal fence.

I'm afraid I have no idea what this large lush plant is, one of many photos I took as we wandered around the Tropical House at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. As tropical houses go I was a little disappointed at the low humidity (my glasses didn't steam up 😄) and the lack of wildlife; no butterflies, fish or birds, just plants. That said it was a fine collection of plants, including some air plants which I find fascinating HWW & HGGT!

A big thank you to everyone who has sent messages & enquired after Martin's health. He's doing OK at the moment although he is quite breathless at times. He did feel well enough to come with me on a short walk with the dogs yesterday. Chemo session no. 2 next Tuesday so I'll post an update after that.

Photo 31/100 my 100 x photos this year will be of foliage: so woodland scenes, individual trees, wild/garden plants and fallen leaves 🍁🌿🍀🌳

AAW Challenge: Keld Helmer-Peterson

I really wanted to shoot a fire exit for the assignment and had to look about the neighbourhood,

Seems like yesterday, we just flew away

I have done my best

Against the odds and then

From time to time your'e gone

It makes me feel so strong

And when I get that way, all my dreams fade away

In the time it takes to love me - I love you

Time and space won't keep us down

My application has been accepted by the council. I am now officially "essentially and unintentionally homeless".

I never imagined I would face such a situation.

Thank you all for your kind words of support. They are helping me to keep the fight alive. I hope that you are all well.

This is an old industrial area near the Hertford town centre just off the road called The Wash which has a bridge over the River Lea. I had walked by the Lea then walking into The Wash via this pathway. The road allows access to a small parking area for homes and businesses in this area. The wall on the right is in full sunlight and the red is an electrical feed of some sort.

Demolished about two and a half years ago for high density overpriced gentrification.

Edinburgh, Scotland. Happy Burns Day to you all.

Moored at Gillingham Pier Medway UK, retired Light Vessel 21 allowed me onboard for a personal visit with my camera many years ago. It was an interesting shoot, and the light was great
