Not my pic.
Huge industrial fire in Winnipeg. Everyone waiting to see if 3-4 tankers are gonna blow. Could be up to 800,000 liters of fuel in warehouses and tankers.

Inspired by the muscle cars of the 70's with the long, low profile hoods and flared rear, I was originally going to call it a Firebird, but the name evolved out of that.
Sembra una palla infuocata il sole mentre tramonta in un'atmosfera del tutto surreale tra antenne e tetti nel paesino di Vescovato(CR).

I didn't even think about it until some of my aunts and uncles commented, but the color scheme could totally be a futuristic version of Starsky & Hutch, which would actually be pretty awesome.

Filming a scene for the pilot of a TV show called Trauma on the King Street off ramp of 280 in San Francisco. Taken from Texas & 19th Streets on Potrero Hill.

Some crazy heat lightning eclipsed the moon in PA. Perhaps the quietest mushroom cloud ever made, this “storm” rolled through around midnight and no rain fell. About time some apocalyptic storms came around.
During the night of Sunday 23.10 towards Monday 24.10.2022, I was out for astrophotography. I have to mention that there were 3 fireballs (one of them left a trail of over 90 deg. in the sky, early at night, before 2100 EEST / 1800 UTC). This one here, flashed over my head like a lightning and left a, visible to the naked eye, trail for minutes (more on this, in a future post). Meteor researchers point out that 2022 might have a possible outbreak for Taurids, so keep your heads up during the following days and up to around 12 of November. Moon might be a problem for the smaller meteors but not really for fireballs and bolides which are the main target.
Green airglow, relatively intense that night, is visible too, as well as faint atmospheric gravity waves on it. The red lights on the island are wind turbines. The light on the left is a boat.
>>> The specific fireball created faint atmospheric gravity waves. You can check them at the 3rd part of this video, where you can also see the ionization trails of both fireballs (1st + 2nd part of the video) as well: youtu.be/qY9saM3cbuU

5 or 6 image stitched pano cant remember now
Screwed up alittle with the exposure on this one tried to pull back the sun as much as possible without it going too weird on me but its an old image so i dont feel so bad
Also it gives me an excuse to go and reshoot it as a pano and maybe under better conditions too
When i had my drone the shot i wanted was to fly very close to the tower slightly above level with the roof in the bottom 3rd of the frame and have the coast as a lead in line to the sun
but as much as the drone was fun to use and take stills i sold it because of so much red tape with (dos and donts ) so no more drone fun also this area is no drone permitted so all in all pretty pointless keeping it :(
Thanks for looking
The fisheye view shows the fireball emerges from the Geminid radiant- see www.flickr.com/gp/eliot_photos/77i7q4 zooming past Orion
Amazing night- many meteors captured including quite a few bright ones- this one being the best by far. A photo of my lifetime.
Many bright meteors captured with the all sky ccd movie of the night sky that will be culled out of the dslr camera collections. See link for night's movie.
