This is from long ago, have a look behind the ears.

The Submarine Voyage was an attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Designed to look like Navy nuclear submarines, the attraction opened on June 6, 1959 as the Submarine Voyage (one of the first rides to require an E ticket). Part of a major expansion of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, which also included the Matterhorn Bobsleds roller coaster, an expanded version of Autopia, the Disneyland Monorail, and the Motor Boat Cruise, the attraction was originally planned to feature glass-bottom boats. It closed on September 9, 1998, with then-Disneyland president Paul Pressler promising that a new attraction would open in 2003 (purportedly based on Disney’s 2001 animated feature Atlantis: The Lost Empire, a box-office failure); it never did. The attraction reopened in June 2007 with a Finding Nemo theme, and is called the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine_Voyage

Happy Friday everyone! I'm glad that I now have fireworks pictures to share on Fridays. This scene I shot earlier this week on one of many trips to Disneyland. Like the last one I wish the Matterhorn still wasn't halfway covered in scaffolding but I couldn't resist using the beautiful blue light that the Castle casts at the end of the fireworks show.

I've had some of these a long time, but over the last year, I've added a few, so I got them all out and took some photos.

Finding Nemo, Disney's Art of Animation Resort

The actors in this show are A M A Z I N G!! There is such an emotional connection with the audience that they convey, which really blew me away. I actually felt that this show moved me more because of this than the movie. I guess being a Dad the story just hits home to begin with, but then to have the 'Human Factor' put into it really hits the heart strings.

What parent wouldn't be moved/touched to the brink of tears by this performance. This is where Marlin thinks he has lost Nemo.

Continuing my series from Finding Nemo the Musica, we have Marlin. Here he has a confused look to him, wondering where Nemo has gone. Thanks for looking.

I know that is not what she is signing in this shot, but I love in both the movie and in this show when that part happens.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!

I dare you to avoid looking at the eyes of Bruce the shark. It's impossible, isn't it? It's like he's staring into your soul and thinking about how good you'll taste.

Squirt sits on top of the dry childrens play area right outside the pool gates. The area where he's looking down on is actually the path and not really in the play area, which was kind of surprising. However, it certainly made for a good photo opportunity.

Disney Fine Art series for Collectors Editions by Irene Sheri

I made this cake for my friend Heidi's little boy Ethan. I really enjoyed making this, I've never moddled fish before. The top tier is lemon and the bottom tier is chocolate.

One of my favorites from Finding Nemo the Musical at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. This is an awesome show and I can't believe I had never bothered to see it before.

Dory's attention is drawn to something up above. Is it a house floating under hundreds of balloons? Is it a big butt? Is it Squirt? You'll have to watch Finding Nemo - The Musical to find out.

It's raining outside, Squirt don't want to get wet so he went indoors, whahaha.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Orlando, FL

Jan 2, 2018

We went back to Disney's Animal Kingdom for a second visit to check out the Kilimanjaro Safari again - and since we learned how to use the Fast Pass system we also opted for Finding Nemo, the Musical. We had no idea what to expect but it ended up being a great Broadway type production - great costumes - very colorful. It was an abbreviated performance but we both agreed it was one of the main highlights of our visit to Disney World. If you have, check it out!

We took these photos in February 2014.

Another fun part of this amazing live show in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Monday everyone! Today is especially good since I know at the end of the day I'll be heading to DLR! I'm curious to see the new Carsland wrapped monorails, I'll save my judgement for when I see them in person but look out for an additional live monorail monday tonight!

As for the shot, this is a 2 shot blend, naturally the subs never want to come around when a monorail does so I had to blend them a bit. Edited in Camera Raw, CS5, and some Nik Software.
