I felt sorry for the plesiosaur, everyone walked past without stopping. But without a plesiosaur skeleton (though not this particular one) the museum may never have been built (slight exaggeration).
The picture is of Mary Anning. Anning eeked out a living finding fossils for tourists to buy. One day she found an Ithiosaur skull, then her brother found a plesiosaur. This sent the paleotenological world into a spin and was the catalyst even for the theory of evolution!
Yet no one cares and they hustle past to see the robot T-Rex. Both Mary and her brother's finds are in the museum but are not prominently displayed.

I never saw the one-piaster-coin anywhere in the wild before I found one lying on the street - and one of the young men I asked if it was a real coin told me, he never saw it before either but the oder one remembered it as one of the coins of his childhood ...

Lissajousin jäljillä / Finding Lissajous
This is my "is this art" photo. Well, is it? The name refers to the harmonic motion of a Lissajous figure. This photo did not succeed in Digi-kuva magazine's monthly photo contest with the theme "motion".
If you happen to be looking for the best dividend stocks around, then there are thousands of companies operating in diverse sectors listed on stock exchanges. Any person with even a little sense will understand that all these companies are definitely not worth investing in.

Finding Dory opens in theaters June 17. The story takes place a long way from Sydney, in the city of Monterey on the California coast, and features our favorite crew of Marlin, Nemo, and Dory (of course). The new setting comes with a wave of exciting new characters—Bailey the beluga (Ty Burrell), Destiny the whale shark (Kaitlin Olson), and Hank the octopus (Ed O’Neill). ©Disney|Pixar

Viroqua, Wisconsin ...gateway to America's unglaciated, Driftless Region ...a small portion of Earth that has miraculously watched virtually unperturbed as each ice age came and went. Viroqua, forever unglaciated it seems.
On our last day in Illinois our granddaughter finally had time to get out on a bird walk. Between school and volleyball practice and games (and homework) there never had been enough time and she was getting desperate, We visited Nelson Lake/Dick Young Marsh in Batavia, beginning at 9:00 AM. She wanted me to try and photograph all her sightings, including bugs and flowers.
