Fiber source: Pigeon Roof Studios

Color: Verbena

Type: Merino/Tussah Silk

WPI: mostly 18 but with some / Sport weight but with some thicker and thinner areas too

Yardage: approx 210 yds

One of my goals with spinning is to learn and consistently try to spin sock weight-yarns, although I think I'd like to stick with sport weight. So here is my attempt. Overall, I am very pleased with the result. I was so-so about it before setting the twist but now it looks great.

I attempted to put a lot of twist into this hand spun similar to Koigu simply because I liked the look of it and I'm not sure if that affected my yardage because I don't have enough for socks with yardage being only 210 yds. Can I make footies with these? Not sure. It might end up being a cowl instead.

I can see why handspun sock yarn costs so much now! It takes a looong time to do it. It took me several sittings to finish plying.

Sorry for the crap photos as it looks kinda blurry to me.

It took me a few weeks (maybe a month?) to get around to taking in the ends on both socks. But they're done...
