Cosplayer as Auron from Final Fantasy X.

Please feel free to download and share your photo however you like, but I would appreciate a credit when possible. Thank you!

Sin is what we call a "Space Whale Aesop" - that is, if you use technology, a giant space whale will kill you.

Sin was actually one of my favorite designs in Final Fantasy X. There was just something about the whale-like creature that perfectly expressed how impersonally destructive it was. Even though it was originally crated (and constantly reincarnated) with malicious intent, it just went by its programming, and never seemd truly aware of the destruction - except when it was responding to an attack, of course.

Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2

Picture taken at Anime Weekend Atlanta 21.

Cincinnati Comic Expo held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

From the Web:

"Wakka (ワッカ?) is a 23-year-old professional blitzball player who is characterized by having a long reddish-orange quiff and, being tall and muscular in appearance. He uses speech-mannerisms as saying "brudda" for "brother" and sometimes finishing sentences with "ya?" for "right?" or "okay?" In addition to being one of Yuna's guardians and childhood friends, he is captain of the Besaid Aurochs, a blitzball team that – as of the beginning of Final Fantasy X – went ten years without winning a single game.[36]

Wakka lost his younger brother Chappu to Sin a year before the events of Final Fantasy X, and he never fully recovered from it.[37] He forms a close brotherly relationship with Tidus, partially fueled by his resemblance to Chappu, though Lulu constantly has to remind him that Tidus is not Chappu.[38] As a devout follower of Yevon's teachings, Wakka believes that anyone who does not believe in Yevon, like the Al Bhed, are evil heathens, and is staunchly against the use of machina.[39] However, he begins to question both his faith by the time Yevon's true colors are exposed to the world. Near the game's ending, Wakka denounces his prior beliefs entirely.[40]

Six months after the events of Final Fantasy X, he marries Lulu. In Final Fantasy X-2, he becomes a father to their baby son, Vidina, a name thought up by Wakka. Wakka is voiced by Kazuya Nakai in Japanese and John DiMaggio in English. A younger version of Wakka makes a cameo appearance in Kingdom Hearts on Destiny Islands as a friend of a younger Tidus and Final Fantasy VIII's Selphie and a sparring partner who can be engaged in battle, fighting with a beach ball.[14] He makes a smaller cameo in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories as well as Kingdom Hearts coded.[41] In Kingdom Hearts, he is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker."

FullMetalKarp Cosplay's take on Lady Yuna from Final Fantasy X

Shot by none other than myself: Happy Pause Photo <3

I won't hide it, it's my favorite cosplay of the whole convention (and that's why I put it on for THE BIGGEST day...).

Day 2, Saturday: Yuna from Final Fantasy X (or FFX for short). I finished the game this year.. I received this game when i was a teen on one of my birthdays (Just because I had a crush on the main character, while I didn't know the type of gameplay. Ah! I think we already had a crush on a character from this franchise). Anyway. Classified in the category ''hard enough game thank you for a 13 year old teenager'', I never managed to finish it. EXCEPT, this year. With a lot of motivation and tears.

Instead of using Odin as the instantly-kill-everything summoned monster, FInal Fantasy X introduces a more Japanese-flavored character, Yojimbo. Yojimbo is unique among Yuna's Aeon summons in that you have to hire him and fork over cash for each attack. What he does and how hard he hits is mostly random, but dependant on how much you pay him. Notably, this means that if you can convince Yojimbo to use his instant-kill move, the Zanmato, it can wipe out ANYTHING, up to and including the final boss and bonus superbosses. You just have to figure out how much the hit will cost you.

Yojimbo means "Bodyguard," and his Shisa lion-dog is named Daigoro.

The figure is a statuette from Final Fantasy Master Creatures, and is very fragile.

Selected Entries Recovered from the Journal of Dr. Lyman S. Klein, PhD

March 16th

We have finally gotten funding to dig out the ruins picked up last year via satellite imagery. Possibly pre-Sumerian. This could bring in a whole lot of new perspective on early civilization. We're very excited about this, and should be able to start digging in about three weeks.

-L. Klein

April 9th

We finally started digging this morning. Hoping we'll find something good.

April 21th

It's looking very good so far - one building, probably early Sumerian, possibly older. Inscriptions in front of the building resemble early cuneiform. Cryptographers are working on it now. It's almost definitely some sort of temple, though the design is nothing like known Sumerian mythology. It could be from a smaller sect or cult, but it's too early to find out. We're going to try to get past the front doors tomorrow if we can do it without damaging anything.

-L. Klein

April 28st

The doors gave us trouble, but we think we can reliably explore the interior. The building appears to be structurally sound, but we're prepared for an emergency. We should be ready to explore properly by May 2nd.

-L. Klein

May 1st

Inscriptions on the front doors have been translated. This building was apparently a "Forbidden Temple" of some kind, probably an early mystery religion. The rest of it is a list of all the penalties for entering. Very strict and brutal, like any old religion, and kind of funny now. I like it!

-L. Klein

May 2nd

So far, the so-called "Forbidden Temple" has been disappointing. Entirely empty - no art, writing, artifacts, or furniture, just blank rooms. Maybe it was so forbidden that they didn't bother to decorate? We found basement stairs, but need to determine that it's structurally sound first.

-L. Klein

May 25th

Made it into the basement. Gigantic stone doorway, covered in the same inscriptions from the entrance - forbidden temple, death penalty for entering, blah blah blah. Too bad they aren't here to enforce it anymore!

-L. Klein

May 26th

The central chamber looks like it could be some sort of altar room. We're going to check it out for real tomorrow - very excited! This could be a great find if there's anything in there!

-L. Klein

May 27th

I can't believe what we found in there. I really can't. Some sort of mummy. The remains do not look human. Possibly a fake sewed together from animal and human remains - ancient Jackalope? - to make people think it's their god. Going to try to retrieve it carefully and run some tests. Has there ever been anything like this? Need to check my notes. This is huge! Never seen anything like it!

-L. Klein

May 28th

The mummy doesn't feel dry. Moisture got in the temple? Amazing that it's still preserved. Going to run some tests on it.

-L. Klein

May 29th

Someone broke into the lab and moved the mummy last night! It's just turned around a little, but that could have destroyed a valuable find! I yelled at everyone, but nobody wanted to admit it. Fine. We'll just have to lock up tighter tonight.

-L. Klein

May 30th

The mummy started "bleeding," probably because of whoever manhandled it the other day. I'm amazed that it still has fluids, but this just underscores how much damage that idiot could have done!

-L. Klein

May 31st

Whoever broke in the other day did it again. Mummy moved a little bit. Broke some equipment and made a mess. Smeared dirt on the walls, too! I am going to find out who did this, and I will press charges. What's wrong with people? Set up a security camera in the mummy room. The exterior ones haven't picked up anything - why didn't I do this on Day 1? What was I thinking?

-L. Klein

June 1st, 8:30 AM

The mummy is gone! Somebody stole it! Windows and doors broken, locks smashed, crap strewn everywhere in the lab. Investigation ongoing right now, local authorities have been called in. Nothing else taken, and they're sweeping for fingerprints right now. I can't believe this! I am sitting down to watch the security footage right now. Should know who did it pretty soon.
