Day 1- Final layout after some tweaking. This was a very hard prompt for me. But I am happy with the end result and where the prompt took me.
I better learn to scrap faster or I will never make it to Day 2- let alone Day 28..lol!
Everyone has been talking about them, so I stopped by the local Dollar Tree and picked them up. They will be joining my GI Joes I think. They lack Pose ability, but they are still great quality and the back story isn't that bad either. The cartoon might be that bad, however.
The characters are from the back left:
Scope: Im Cool and I know it. Ignore my sister, Shift.
Riptide: I'm an old version of Shipwreck, with neater equipment.
Amari: Steel may be the only other black member of the team, but that doesnt mean I'm going to date him. I dont date anyone shorter than me, and he is so short. That's why he wants to fly.
Steel: First, who said I wanted to date you? And lower your standards, woman, you're built like a frickn amazon! Third, I want it to be perfectly clear that I am nothing like Marvel's Falcon.
Shift: I just want to spar with Scarlett. No, my outfit does not resemble hers.
Steadfast: I'm the leader. I lost my arm and half my face in the first engagement with the Karrn... and the cartoon still expects me to be light and cheerful and ready to do a Knowing is Half the Battle at a moments notice? I dont think so.
ACRM: I'm a disabled boy named Boyd who controls this robot like a video game... and best part is I'm allowed to use all the hacks I want. The big mech in front is FDO, a dog Mecha piloted by Chirro, a washed out Taco Bell dog.
Ruck: I like artillery and big guns. If I have to wear an exosuit to be able to wield the gun, then so much the better.
The last character is the mysterious Torn.

Photo Shoot for sister-in-law Stephanie's Make-up Course Final Look assessment. The idea is they dress a model from top to bottom, fix their hair and of course make-up to get a final look.
I made some more squares because I wanted a little larger quilt. Something that I could use on my lap while watching a movie. I learned that a nice large center square makes a nice cross in the middle of the quilt. I want to make his one again now that I have the pattern down. I quilted this on my home machine, it's the first time I have done this & it was not too bad, I did use a walking foot..I think that helped. When I took a class to learn how to use a long arm quilting machine the woman said that quilting a straight line was the hardest thing to do..it is!! All I did was go from side to side on this piece and several of my lines were not straight across, several had a 20-40 degree angle.

This is the final 12ftx5ft Global Outreach wall. We ditched the logo for simplicity, and decided that the text will be created with 3D raised letters. The black boxes represent cutouts where LCD frames will be inset in the wall. Creative Graphics Services in CA is doing the printing and I can't wait to see the final result.
